There are so many wonderful things to say about my stay! We stayed mid-May of this year. There was a comfort in the air as soon as we walked in the door. Roberto was so nice and accommodating during our stay. He offered us complimentary adult beverages, brought them to the porch with decanters, and all the fancy stuff. We... More

A visit of the homes in this area has been on our list of things to experience for a long time. So glad that we chose Bocage as our "Home" base for this trip. I call it Home Base because that is exactly how it felt thanks to Roberto. I have stayed in B&B's before, but he takes the experience... More

Mr. Roberto and his team delivered an exceptional B&B experience. When I walked in the foyer, I was greeted by the music of a beautiful baby-grand player piano and an exceptional welcome by the host. The rooms were incredible - we stayed in the Blue room, and enjoyed a beautiful, antique bed fit for royalty, ornate wood furniture, marble fireplace,... More

We at Bocage usually don't write responses to reviews...we generally let them speak for themselves. In this instance, I find it necessary to explain the circumstance of "no hot water". Lately in Louisiana we have had serious storms with lightning strikes close to Bocage. This causes breakers to flip and we don't know when one has flipped unless we are... More

I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to write this review. I always intend to sit down and write reviews on hotels, attractions and other places I've been and then life gets in the way. My husband and I stayed for one night at the Bocage and it was not long enough. We are going to go back when... More

Bocage Plantation is one of the few Louisiana plantation B&Bs where you can stay in the main house. Most, including Oak Alley, place the visitors in cottages surrounding the main house. And what a beautifully restored plantation home this is! Not the biggest, but that is part of its charm...with exquisite period furnishings throughout, 16 foot ceilings in the bedrooms... More

Cindy, We love having guests like you and we consider your review as a major part of the benefit we get at Bocage. Roberto and the staff work hard to be sure your stay is a memorable one and we (and Bocage herself) always want you to return. I have one minor correction that I can't leave undone or we... More

This charming plantation was a perfect destination for our one night visit to the Baton Rouge/New Orleans area. It was just like stepping back in time to a scene with Gone With The Wind. The hospitality and flexibility of the host was quite commendable. He was especially helpful with offering details of surrounding attractions. The breakfast was second to none... More

We stayed at Bocage Plantation it is a very special place an unpretentious plantation house which is now run as a bed & breakfast that has been restored by a genuine enthusiast and no expense spared. You actually stay in the rooms of the plantation house and these are luxurious. We were given a very warm welcome by Roberto who... More

We stayed at Bocage 8 days while touring plantations in the area and a couple of day trips to New Orleans. It was the perfect place for our vacation. The host Roberto was very informative and accommodating to all our needs. This plantation house has been beautifully restored and the antiques throughout the house are gorgeous. It felt like we... We chose Bocage for the unique experience of actually staying in a grand plantation house and for a special treat on the last night of our Road Trip in the Deep South. The home is beautiful with wonderful period antique furnishings. We very much enjoyed the hospitality of Roberto and the outstanding breakfast. Although Roberto is new at managing an upscale B&B, he makes up for any lack of experience with enthusiasm and knowledge of the restoration of the house. The wine we were served in the evening was quite good. I... More
