Originally we wanted to stay in Phong Nha for a couple of days after a bike tour from Da Nang ended here. We'll that turned out to be a Blessing. We checked out the options and the Gold Plus ticked the box's for us The room was large and had 2 Queen sized beds, double windows which we enjoyed a gental breeze all night. We did need mozzie spray but wantn't an issue but the location & the aspect of our room on the top floor was outstanding. A Beautiful breakfast each morning got us off to a good start each day. We hired a scooter from them also and the family run hotel was such a pleasurable experience we ended up staying 5 nights. 🙏👍 Thank you to the son who greeted us and speaks english
I am traveling on a budget, and this new hotel was superb. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, and a fantastic breakfast! The young man who works there speaks very good English and is very helpful! This is one of the best places I have stayed in Vietnam! You will love it! 🙏
Ideal location with really nice clean rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's in the main street amongst the cafes etc and a short bus ride from the caves. There's a big choice of tours and plenty of other booking offices.
My girlfriend and I had a terrible encounter with this hotel. In the process of booking bus tickets from Phong Nha to Ninh Binh, we spoke to the woman at the front desk who originally quoted a 280,000d individual ticket price (the average price being 170,000d). After bartering, she agreed a price of 300,000d for two tickets. Having written out the ticket she beckoned the hotel owner over to discuss bus pick up / drop off locations in better English, after which we paid. To our surprise we received less change than expected and when we questioned this, the hotel owner told us the agreed price was 350,000d. We disputed this and looked to the woman to confirm the agreed price. Much to our horror, the woman called us liars and said that she had only agreed to 350,000d and that the mis-quoting was our mistake, not hers. Speaking to the owner, we explained that as the paying customer he should respect the originally agreed price. This was not the case, and he came up with fabricated excuses for the error, such as the woman’s lack of English ability (although perfectly capable of counting and basic English prior to now). He persisted to tell us it was our mistake and on hearing that we would write a review of this experience, in his arrogance he shrugged and said that only Vietnamese stay at his hotel and that it was not a concern of his. We asked for our money back and bought the bus tickets from the far more hospitable hotel opposite. If you want to be messed around, accused of lying and be thoroughly disappointed, stay at this hotel. If not, there are a number of far more satisfying hostels / hotels just next door.…
