We stayed at Madison's for 2 nights. The mountains had just had snow and it was freezing outside. We were greeted by the manager who was fantastic our whole stay. The wood fire in the cabin was perfect for cuddling up by and watching movies or reading a book. The alpacas, goats, chickens and Andrew the peacock really made for...

If you're looking for a peaceful setting with cosy log fires, comfy king beds and spacious verandahs, this is perfect. The cottages are very well stocked with all "essentials" for a great weekend - even a generous brekky basket. We came as a family group for a 50th celebration and all age groups were catered for with the little ones...

We were a very large group who ended up booking out 4 of the cabins and 1 of the train carriages. What a wonderful location, the cabins were clean and warm and we were made to feel extremely welcome. We used pretty much all of the facilities and the kids loved the pool, spa, tennis and common room. A fire...

This is a lovely, rural unspoilt site. The cabins are very spacious, with log burners, verandas, comfortable beds. The cabins are very well equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. The superb breakfast hamper includes cereal, fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, fruit and milk. The cabins are also stocked with tea/coffee/sugar, butter and jams. Twice a day you can...

We loved our short break here. The alpacas were adorable and friendly, Fiona was a sweet and welcoming host who was keen to fulfil our every wish, and the setting was glorious in its autumn splendour. Perfect for cosy, fire-warmed weekends of walking and reading. And the bed was sooo comfy.

I've stayed three times with my young kids and it's just perfect here. Comfortable but relaxed, plenty of animals for the kids, tennis court and swimming and space to run around with apple picking and hiking nearby. The perfect weekend escape from Sydney.

Is Madison's perfect? No, bit rough around the edges here and there. Is it a great experience particularly for the kids (ours are 5 and 4)? Absolutely! We stayed in a cabin, not a train carriage. They were clean and had pretty much everything we needed included a lovely view of a paddock packed with Alpacas. The breakfast was huge,...
