We have stayed at numerous B&Bs throughout the country and feel well qualified to urge you to disregard the very few negative reviews of T'Frere's. Those folks missed the point. T'Frere's is a Cajun country gem and a totally unique experience, unlike any other B&Bs...More
T'Frere's B&B is a perfect home base from which to experience cajun country. Pat, Maugie and their son, John, are "the real deal" - Mom, Pop, and youngest son of a big-hearted (and big!) cajun family. We felt genuinely welcomed by Pat and Maugie and...More
An idiosyncratic b&b. We stayed in the separate building off the main house, which we enjoyed. The breakfasts were very odd by English standards - the final morning included pancakes with pudding fillings! The hosts are very welcoming and helpful - we found Champagne's swamp...More

We stayed downstairs. Nothing is within walkable distance nor would you want to as the road in front is quite busy. A short drive down that road though will take you to Bon Temps. A fun Cajun roadhouse restaurant.

The new owner, Richard Young, is not related to the previous owners, Pat and Maugie Pastor. Richard has his Director of Events and Operations, Jeanne Marie Lousao, living on the property until the perfect innkeeper can be found. Jeanne oversees the staff who run the business during normal office hours.

Bonjour Hal and Rebecca!
We are thrilled that you have chosen T'Frere's during your stay! Lafayette is locally known as the "hub city" of Cajun Country so I believe y'all have chosen the perfect destination! The area has many, probably too many haha, wonderful restaurants and entertainment venues. To name a few of our "must visits" are as follows: Randol's Seafood Restaurant and Dance Hall, Prejeans, The Little Big Cup, French Press, Blue Dog, Downtown Alive, Angelle's Whisky River Landing, Café Des Amis, and much more. Please visit Louisiana Travel website to learn even more of what Acadiana has to offer!
We are looking forward to meeting y'all!
