Recently stayed at the Country Hotel using it as a place to eat and sleep. The hotel could be a good hotel but for three issues. firstly my room was an odd shape ,long and thin. The window ( although a modern double glazed unit) would not close properly -so I had to jam some towels in to stop the...

We only stayed for a night and that was enough. The hotel was very cheap in compare with other Basingstoke hotels and this was the reason why...... Rooms were ok, staff was polite. Initially we chose this hotel because it had the pool and the sauna. As soon as we entered the lesure centre we were asked to pay additional...

Nice hotel, but dated and a lot of facilities are in a state of disrepair. Staff try their best. This could be a great weekend escape but needs a huge investment to bring it up to scratch. Prices are good , but you will probably be disappointed by the quality. Food over priced and reminiscent of the standard pre 1990...

My husband and I booked this hotel as a special night away together and the price of this hotel seemed very reasonable. Luckily, we only stayed for one night. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a 10 minute wait while a couple in front of us resolved an issue with their booking. We were then greeted by a receptionist who...

Stayed here for a family birthday. Had to ask to move from our room,as the window would not shut, considering it was snowing outside we would like a window to close. We then decided to use the pool and steam room, charged to get in, in error as should have been free under our package. No lockers to put clothes...

I booked the hotel and 15 rooms for a training event we had and it was disastrous. The booking was made and in the weeks leading up to it I checked with the hotel that all was ok and discussed what equipment/facilities we would require. On the day the hotel staff knew nothing about the event!! They finally showed us...

Well you get what you pay for and never had a saying been better suited than it is here. It's in need of some serious TLC. I wouldn't take the breakfast option if you can avoid it, as for the bar meals basic but edible. I asked for a pint of bitter but off, 3 lagers to choose from though!!
