Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic - safe, easy access to the interstate, and plenty of restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Most importantly, all the staff was amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and respectful of COVID-19 protocols. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow, my first experience in a Fairfield Inn .... Wow, great service and the rooms were excellent for what I paid. A little noise in the rooms beside me but beyond that a great experience. I will be looking to come back to this property...No Doubt!

have always had pleasant stays at Marriott hotels and they are usually my first choice when traveling. However, that changed with my stay at Fairfield Inn New Orleans and I had to make my very first complaint. I traveled with 2 small kids and drove 3 hours to New Orleans.  Our first room, 338 had ants and my son is allergic. The guy at the front desk was very professional and offered his apologies before moving us to another room.  Sadly, the bedding in the new room smelled like a woman's perfume. I was exhausted and willing to stay in the room and just accept new bedding. When I called the front desk to make the request and explain my situation,  the lady was very rude and unprofessional. She said she had just reported to work and can't tell me if the room had been cleaned. She said since she had just arrived to work she "didn't know anything.  Rooms are supppsed to be clean, but she doesn't know if mine was cleaned". She then proceeded to ask what did I expect her to do. I simply asked for new bedding. She rudely said she's 8 months pregnant and was not leaving her desk.   If I didn't have kids with me I would have left at that point.  I had to remove the bedding and use my personal blanket that I brought with me. I did call and file a complaint. I was contacted via email by the GM who tried to make it seem as if I was the problem since this was the first time they had a complaint regarding 2 rooms in one night from the same guest. I was given the offer to have a 3rd room "inspected" by the same front desk clerk who had just told me she was pregnant and not leaving her desk. However, if I chose a 3rd room I would not receive my loyalty points. The other option given was to check out before midnight and not incur a charge. There was no way I wanted any contact with that lady after how rudely she talked to me. There was also no way I was trusting her to inspect a room. I did appreciate the GM for giving me the option to leave. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It seemed they were short staffed and rooms are not being cleaned properly. They are also rude!!!! Don't waste your money!!!!!

Sdenise79, As we stated earlier, we are shocked at the condition of the rooms. We beat the Fairfield brand by 15 percentage points for cleanliness and guest service on average each month. Most recently, we received consecutive 10/10 scores from verified Marriott reviews on cleanliness. As we didn't have the opportunity to visit with you, we can only apologize and hope you're able to try us again soon. Most of our guests tell us we're clean, friendly, and overly COVID19 compliant. Regarding the service, we've used the opportunity to address the concerns you shared and can assure you it was an isolated incident. I've stayed at a Marriott 120 nights so far this year alone--this is the worst experience I've had so far. I booked two rooms, as I've done many times before, for my father and me on our business trip. I spoke with the front desk and they confirmed it would be ok for him to check in. I came down when my Dad called and said they wouldn't let him check in. The front desk person (who I never once saw in a mask), began raising his voice and said "I don't care none at all what the other person said, and y'all best shut up before I call the police." I asked what his name was, and he started telling me "I ain't telling you s**t." I reached for a card for the manager and he said "that's strike 2 before I call the police." I went upstairs and emailed the manager letting him know my displeasure. His solution was to try to "schedule" time to talk with the front desk person, as if that was something I was interested in doing. Instead, I emailed Marriott, checked out, and went down to the the Lakefront Marriott property (a GORGEOUS location). Horrible hotel I can't discourage people enough from staying at--especially given the number of great options in the area. It has hands down the worst staff I've ever dealt at a Marriott location for a mediocre at best property.

Good Evening, We actually had the AGM on property to meet with you the day of your departure. He actually watched you leave the hotel and tried to catch you. Eyewitnesses who are frequent guests recount a member of your party using such vulgar language they were deeply offended. We are still waiting for you to visit with us regarding your experience and regret online reviews are the only venue used. We are very disappointed to learn of your alleged experience but happy to know you stayed with us again last week. Our AGM stated at check-in your day was great and declined additional service. As this was two weeks after the incident you allege, I am happy to know we've regained your faith and chose our hotel for your top spot in Metairie. Warm Regards, Ricky Wood General Manager

Very clean and conveniently located hotel - the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. This hotel was very quiet during the night. Parking was easily accessible and there were plenty of spaces. Our room was spacious with clean and comfortable furnishings. We especially liked the big screen TV, the walk in shower, and the excellent lighting in the bathroom. We will definitely stay here again.
