Best Choice hotel I've encountered. Staff was great and worked on a room selection for us by phone. Rooms clean and modern. Parking safe and well lighted. breakfast fresh. A little tricky to find at Clearview exit of I-10. I'd certainly return.

If this is the Sleep Inn & Suites in Metairie. There is not much around it that is walkable. It is not far from a Main Street with a lot of food restaurants but it is about half mile away and you would be walking on very busy road or through what appeared to be commercial area. ( with car repair businesses, bars, towing business etc) you could take cab into New Orleans from there or probably bus and then you could walk around New Orleans area
