Did you ever stay with a friend who really wanted you to feel welcome and who was really good at it? People like that make magic. Nothing grandiose. Not hovering over you every minute, simply making you feel at home and relaxed in a beautiful place that they are happy to share with you. Well that's what you will find... More

My husband surprised me with a trip to the Shadetree Inn for my birthday. We stayed in the Gardner's Cottage. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine, cheese dip and crackers and oatmeal cookies for a late night snack. The cottage was rustic and cozy with a large siting room, comfy bedroom and bath complete with a jacuzzi... More

We have stayed in the Gardner's Cottage and the Sunporch and both were wonderful! KW always has our favorite libations chilled and waiting along with his wife's most scrumptious homemade dip and cookies. We love the having all the candles and bath salts by the large Jacuzzi tub and the collection of books to read at our disposal. There is... More

Kitchen nook, large bedroom and big bath with lots of goodies, treats and a bottle of wine. Very shady property but not a shady deal... More like a steal for the guests of this homey set of graceful cabins.

Rustic, unique, quirky, peaceful, laid back and more. Not like any B&B I've ever stayed in. There was a sweet dog, two chill cats and a hundred+ birds. A big super comfy bed. A clawfoot tub. A skylight above the bed. Tree swings. Metal roof. Outdoor sitting areas. Books to read. Music to listen to. Almost a kitchen in our... More

If you are looking for a cookie cutter chain hotel, this is not your place. If you are looking for relaxing, unique, and clean accommodations in a beautiful outdoor setting, look no further. My wife, daughter and I stayed in the loft for 3 nights in early May and we couldn't have been more pleased. KW is an excellent host... More

I stopped at the Shadetree Inn on the road to New Orleans. The inn perfectly met our needs for natural beauty, comfort and hospitality. We were greeted by a charming cat who welcomed us with some opportunity for belly rubs. The owner checked in with us in advance and had a half a bottle of gin and tonic and an... More

Very difficult to find the words to describe this B&B, but it was all good. Three of the most original rooms, personal attention and homemade baked goods, overly generous before-dinner drinks from the charming and erudite fellow who has created the place, a campfire and beautiful grounds, quiet, not expensive. If you're looking for a standard hotel room, this is... More

My 14 year old daughter and I went to tour plantations and I decided to stay in this Inn based on other Trip Advisor reviews. I'm so glad we stayed here! It's on the same street as the historic houses and there were birds and squirrels everywhere! It's quiet and a nice break from the city. We stayed in The... More

As part of our New Orleans holiday, we spent a day in St Francisville and stayed at the Shadetree Inn. St Francisville is a small, quiet town, but even so, the Shadetree Inn is another level of remove - despite the fact that you're pretty much slap bang in town, you feel like you're right in the woods. If you... More
