Our stay with Ms. Shirley and her son, Chris, qualifies as our best Bed and Breakfast experience to date. What a relaxing setting. We spent two nights in the Victorian Room. It's a two room suite in the historic Printers House across the street from the main Barrow House. Evenings on the deep set porch spent rocking and watching the...

Rose room was very comfortable, and handy for entry to dining room, outside, and the porch. Breakfast is great ... I got eggs creole, and hesitated on the red beans and rice choice, but others got it and it looked pretty good, so i will try it next time. Ms Shirley is a wonderful host, and knows everything about the...

Thank you Shirley and the other two couples that were there for being so pleasant and enjoyable to be around. Our weekend was relaxing and energetic; I hope we added the same to yours. We stayed in the Printer's Cottage which was spacious, had private amenities with a full size sitting room, and it was well stocked. Shirley and her...

Our suite had everything we could need. The building was well stocked, roomy, and inviting. The historic information was interesting and the host's local tips were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The owner Shirley is full of Southern hospitality. From the moment we arrived when she came out to greet us by name as we parked our car, until we left with hugs all round, she could not have been a better host. She gave us lots of ideas for things we could do in the area but they were carefully...

We had a fantastic stay at the Barrow House Inn. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The BHI is on two sites, two separate historic houses, a Victorian main house and an eighteenth century cottage over the road. We stayed in the Victorian suite in the Printer’s Cottage (the eighteenth century house), which was clean and comfortable, a bedroom, sitting...

I loved the location its self, the history alone makes this stand on its own. What I did not expect was that every time we left the home the keeper would come into our rooms and clean them and then took away my coffee cup before I was done with it. I felt almost like we were being challenged on...

Her privacy criticism is a bit confusing, as she and her parents were entirely alone in that building. Their lodging was entered only twice: once to remove soiled towels in the morning and then later to make the beds and service the suite. The third time we entered the building was at night. The three of them were heard talking,...

We stayed in the Printer's Cottage for our honeymoon over New Years. It was beautiful and comfortable as well as being a very interesting house. We enjoyed reading through the material available about it's history and the surrounding areas. Shirley and Chris were wonderful hosts, recommending sites to see and places to eat on top of being so gracious and...
