We have stayed at Butler-Greenwood repeatedly for years. It is family-owned and the “big house” is still lived in by descendants (7th and soon to be 8th and 9th generations) of the historically important Butler family.

The Butler, let me start by saying there are motels, hotels, resorts, & B&B's. A person expects certain things and quality at each. I do not like to put a place down but this is motel quality at B&B prices. The hospitality is okay but...More

We welcome visitors to our grounds, even those who are not staying with us, if they ask permission first so that we know they are there. We allow photographs, and many pros bring brides or graduates or family groups to shoot on our grounds for a small fee. We don't charge non-professionals shooting for their own pleasure, not for sale. But we can't have unknown trespassers disturbing the peace and quiet of our paying guests, and our insurance surely doesn't cover them.
