Recently spent 2 magical nights at the Finca in the very luxurious Casa Paraiso, nestled up in the living heart of the rainforest. The hot showers were such a treat after hostel traveling, and the peace and quiet during election season was so very needed and appreciated! Had a decadent massage by Jess in house, on the deck, divine. Also... More

We stayed in two of the treehouses, the tallest treehouse Castillo Mastate, and one of the newest and closest to the river El Fenix. Both were beautifully appointed with gorgeous surroundings, comfy beds, and excellent showers :). And we were able to see a few of the other places to stay, they are all beautiful and unqiue and offer a... More

Our week at Finca Bellavista was unlike any travel experience we have ever had. Awe-inspiring treehouses, friendly and accommodating (and bilingual) staff, food grown on site, and the natural beauty and serenity of the Costa Rican rainforest made for the trip of a lifetime. Erica, Matt, Amy, Anna, and the rest of the staff were a joy to deal with,... More

We keep going back to visit as we love the jungle and the community at Finca Bellavista. Usually we stay 2 nights. This month we stayed 3 nights and was way better to not be so rushed. We stayed at Casa Paraiso which was an nice easy hike from base camp (15 minutes) and was luxurious including fridge and king... More

First class tree house and amazing accommodations. All staff was friendly, everyone is there to have a good time. We saw a bunch of wild life, went to waterfalls, and enjoyed being immersed in nature.

The staff's enthusiasm is evident and well justified upon arrival. The community feel, genuine vibe and care for each visitor's experience is greatly appreciated. The property is very well managed, user friendly (from a young, fairly fit, naturalists p.o.v.) in terms of exploring, delightfully self-sustaining and down right inspirational! Loved the hiking, bird watching, orchid spotting, river swimming and lively... More

We had the best time at Finca Bellavista! The treehouse we stayed in was new and amazing. You enter into the kitchen from the front door and after walking in, you go through an open porch overlooking the mind blowing jungle to get to the bedroom. Endangered species of bats hung on the screens of our bathroom while sleeping during... More

Ok, so what this place is NOT: it is not a 5 star luxury, spa, room-service style boutique hotel. Nor should you expect room service of any kind or nightly turn down or mints on your pillow (don't get me wrong, I like those places too). Think more along the lines of very comfortable, immersive camping. You will be doing... More

We've spent a couple days in casa del mono and we really got what we hoped for. Beautiful nature, a place to switch off and a very nice and helpful stuff. There are also some really beautiful and secluded places in the forest to take a short bath.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! This village is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa or fancy hotel. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
