I spent 6 days with a very good friend in Casa Mariposa, which was Amazing! The best way to describe it was like Luxury Survivor. It was a successful trip for the following reasons: The MINIMUM you should stay at F.B is 3 nights- NO less! Trust me! I was there for 6 nights and was extremely pleased with all...

My wife found Finca Bellavista while searching for a great vacation spot. We spent quite a while talking about it and wondering if our 6 and 8 year old girls would be old enough to enjoy themselves. The website used to have a massive amount of information but has since been pared down; it is significantly easier to navigate now...

It was our daughter who found Finca Bellavista first and arranged to become a volunteer. My wife and I followed to be with her over the Christmas holiday. We came looking for the jungle and found so much more. As it turns out, Finca Bellavista is a magnet for those with a passion for life - pura vida! We made...

My boyfriend and I went using one of the off-season package deals (which in the end paid for everything we wanted to do). We were two of only six or so people on the whole property. It was an amazing, great value experience. If you're up for a little rain, I can't recommend the off-season packages enough. First: this is...

My wife and I visited for our honeymoon mid September, during the heaviest part of the rainy season. We first stayed at Casa el Tigre for two nights. After going to Drake Bay for a few days between we came back for a 5 night stay in the famous "El Castillo Mastate. We planned to take a couple days to...

Congratulations on your marriage and we are thrilled that you chose to honeymoon at Finca Bellavista. This year the months of September/October/November were historically rainy, so I'm glad to hear that the weather did not hold you back from your adventures at the finca. Best wishes to you both, and we hope to see you at the finca again someday!

An amazing experience! A must see. Great family time, no TV or internet. Loved the community garden, we picked fresh herbs and veggies to cook with. Bring good shoes...you have to hike to your treehouse. Make sure you have everything you need before getting there...tough road and you cant just run out to grab anythig

Recently spent 2 magical nights at the Finca in the very luxurious Casa Paraiso, nestled up in the living heart of the rainforest. The hot showers were such a treat after hostel traveling, and the peace and quiet during election season was so very needed and appreciated! Had a decadent massage by Jess in house, on the deck, divine. Also...

We stayed in two of the treehouses, the tallest treehouse Castillo Mastate, and one of the newest and closest to the river El Fenix. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finca Bellavista is a treehouse community in the rainforest of Costa Rica! This village is a rustic, yet comfortable private retreat off the beaten path where owners and guests can explore the natural wonders of the rainforest canopy and enjoy treetop 'Pura Vida'. Finca Bellavista is not a full-service spa or fancy hotel. We are located in quiet corner of Costa Rica that is removed from many of the influences of the outside world. The nearest town (1.5 miles away) contains a school, a church, a pulperia, a bus stop, a handful of houses, and a soccer field. That's it. No souvenir shops, no mini-malls, and no rowdy bars. Finca Bellavista is for the traveller who wants to experience something truly different and special. We have acres of forest and gardens to explore, refreshing rivers, birdwatching, tours and much more. We look forward to hosting you in our rainforest home! ... more   less
