I stayed at this B&B for a few weeks in February/March due to work commitments and have to say it's one of the very best I've ever stayed in. It puts some high-class hotels to shame. The little touches like chocolates and whisky are lovely, and the towels....oh the towels...I could have wrapped myself up in them and drifted off...

We stayed at Parkhead House for 2 nights when we went to a wedding at the nearby Hopetoun House. It was a lovely place to stay, comfortable, relaxed, friendly and well appointed. The Hosts James and Angela were friendly, helpful and informative and with a sense of humour. James drove us around and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts...

I stayed at Parkhead House this weekend while attending a wedding at Hopetoun house on the estate. I was in the Iona room (twin) Parkhead is in the grounds of the Hopetoun estate and is very peaceful and tranquil. We were met by James (the proprietor) who was very welcoming and warm. The house is beautifully appointed, with all the...

We needed a place to stay close to Edinburgh Airport. This was convenient, comfortable and the service was excellent. I can recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in this area. You will receive a friendly welcome, a pleasant room and an excellent breakfast!

There is so many good things to say about this lovely place. First the owner James is wonderful. We got a bit lost on the way in and within 2 mins he found us and we followed him back to the house. He was very friendly and funny! Made us feel right at home and made sure we felt comfortable...

Nothing is to much trouble for the hosts at this 5* b&b. From the time we rang the bell it was as if you were visiting friends. You can use the kitchen and were told that there was wine or beers in the fridge if we wanted them and in the dining room there was a coffee maker with muffins...

Charming and cozy. That’s how I’d describe my wonderful stay in the stone thatch cottage run by Parkhead House. We stayed here the last night of our two week Scottish vacation and we saved the best for last. James was incredibly nice and went out of his way to accommodate us. He even led us down the road to Midhope...
