I stayed at Priory Lodge with my family for a couple of nights while in Edinburgh for my graduation. The room was excellent and very well equipped (it even had an iron board + iron, and fridge), and there was an ample selection of breakfast...More
Had a warm, very clean and very friendly stay at this hotel which we would recommend to anyone to stay here. The breakfast in the morning was 1st class and a great way to start the day and meet other guests.
Everything was of the very highest standard, from cleanliness of the premises, parking, freindliness of Calmyn and Gordon, mine hosts, to the superb breakfasts. My wife was very impressed with the fact that EVERYTHING seemed to be catered totally for the guests, with all those...More

Hi, Yes.This B&B is situated 12 miles from Edinburgh but there is a great rail link , very frequent trains right into the city centre 15-20 minute journey. There are also good buses but it is a 40 minute journey. The train is only 4.60 GBP day return. It is a good option because car parking in the city can be a problem. The little town of South Queensferry is situated right under the Forth bridge - great views and there are lots of places to eat along the seafront. Look up Orrocco Pier restaurant which is less than 2 minutes walk, or Hawes Inn--5 minutes .There is a nice Indian restaurant 1 minute walk and a chinese across the road---and several more. I hope this helps.
