The breakfast is great. Staff serves eggs, sausage, beans etc. It was all delicious. The also have coffee, juice, cereal, bread for toast and bagels. The staff is all very friendly.. Our room was clean and comfortable.
When we stopped in to this inn we were just looking for a decently priced place to stay for the night, we were so charmed by the lovely employees there who were so welcoming that we extended our stay. This was one of the cleanest rooms I've had in a while and unlike most hotels post pandemic they still offer a fresh breakfast and turn down service. A hidden gem, we will definitely be back!
If you're planning a last minute Acadia trip and everything in Bar Harbor is expectedly booked, then Bangor Inn and Suites is a good alternative. Although it's a 1+ hour drive to the park, it's an easy and pretty drive. The staff are super friendly, everything was clean enough, the shower was absolutely delightful, and the free breakfast was quite extensive. Very pleased with the stay overall.
I cannot say enough good things about this motel! My parents were on vacation with my brother and sister-in-law . We are from Iowa so a long way from home. My father became critically ill and was in ICU. We were having a very hard time finding a motel that had available rooms. My brother travels alot for his job and had stayed here before and we were lucky to get two rooms for our family while my dad was hospitalized. It was super clean, very comfortable and the daily complimentary breakfast was out of this world. The best part about this motel though was the employees. Terri the GM was so sweet and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. Took the time to get to know us and offered several times to bring food for my dad during the last two days we were there while he rested and made sure he was ok to fly. Ursula was the one who checked us in and she made our day by making us laugh and telling us about all the best places to eat that was close to the motel and hospital. She made sure we had everything we needed for dad when he was released. My only regret was that I was unable to say goodbye to her! If you are ever in Bangor Maine please check this place out, they are ALL very caring and kind and made our unexpected emergency trip a little bit easier ! Ricky and Rhonda Ferrell Linda and Ron Sampson Mike and Shannon Sampson…
The Bangor Inn and Suites is a sweet throw-back to another time. This is an aging but well maintained and clean oasis in the style of the classic New England motel we frequented with our parents during summer vacation. And in the morning, there is a full, hot breakfast in an airy little dining room that is far better than most high end B & Bs. All-in-all, a wonderful experience and one we hope they never change!
