Run down in desperate need of renovations and a complete makeover. The bathroom was mediocre at best. The rest of the room just seemed old and in desperate need of repairs. See other visitors photos - they aren't wrong. I guess they're under renovations - but I wouldn't have guessed from what I saw and honestly don't know if my room had been recently renovated or not... This hotel is fine if you're flying out the next morning or get delayed out of the airport. Otherwise - find somewhere else. In fact, avoid Bangor in general, there's not much to see here. If you're going to Acadia / Bar harbor - spend the money and go out there to stay the night. You won't regret it. I've heard air crews stay here. I'm shocked this property is acceptable to them in any capacity. The hotel was also extremely loud and I regularly overheard neighboring patrons who were extremely noisy and loud. Not the hotels fault, but perhaps related to the hotel's clientele and location.

While stopping over on the way home from Acadia National Park, I had I booked this hotel having slightly higher expectations than what was offered to us. I understand this hotel is being renovated, but I've noticed this has been the case for quite sometime, and it really does not appear they have made any sort of progress. They have multiple numbered entrances for the difference sections of the hotel, and ours was #3, located at the very back of the hotel, which resembled an abandoned parking lot, complete with tractor trailers, pallets of showers (likely for the renovations, broken and cracked asphalt/concrete, and poorly maintained landscaping throughout. Our room was basic, and less than desirable. The color scheme (particularly the ceiling which was a dark pinkish/maroon) was rather off putting. The A/C unit was very week, leaked all over the carpet, and looked to be about 30+ years of age. Ultimately making for an exceptionally uncomfortable evening of sleep given the humidity and heat that was taking place during our stay. If you are coming or going to Bangor Int'l Airport, this is the hotel for you. It's right down the street. We saw multiple flight attendants, and pilots enter and leave during our stay. It's also right off the freeway at the junction of I-95 and I-395. The staff, including the front desk manager Doreen, were very accommodating and refunded our IHG points since we cut our stay short. Didn't use the pool but it looked clean. It is indoor only. Unless this hotel undergoes a substantial and prompt overhaul, I will not be staying here again.

This is a solid hotel that fit the bill for a one-night stay on the way to Acadia NP. Not sure how it was before, but when I was there, rooms were renovated, clean and modern. Comfortable bed and bedding, modern furniture (albeit some odd layout choices), good lightlng and USB outlets-- a nice, renovated HI. Yes, as some others have said the doors slam and make noise but nothing that kept me awake. Front desk service was acceotable. I did not eat or use any facilities but from my experience I was very happy with my stay and consider it a good value hotel.

I understand Covid challenges, but 3 emails to front desk went unanswered. Th outside photo was where we were directed to park. They have remodeled but the doors still slam shut on rooms and the exterior is littered with dog poop and trash. The window in our room was so dirty I cleaned it myself. See photo. Our 3rd hotel stay in a Covid world and I couldn’t have been more disappointed and frankly grossed out.

The hotel charged 94$ extra in addition room charges as something they call “no show charge”. I informed the manager that I wasn’t notified of such charges and was informed their staff might have forgotten to inform it and they will give feedback to them for the same. They didn’t cancel the charges despite multiple conversations. All this, despite being a platinum ambassador to IHG. I will not try this hotel again - very poor experience. Much is left to be desired in terms of staff training, manager’s communication and more importantly - hidden charges. Save yourself the money and trouble and perhaps try another hotel.
