We didn't get to see much of the campground, because we got there around dark and left in the morning, but it is definitely quiet! Rustic and campy, there's a great lodge type of room for lounging, TV, games, internet, etc. We enjoyed ourselves!

We spent a week here and really enjoyed it. Loved the platform for pitching a tent. It was quiet and clean and had pretty much everything we needed. We got a hike in sight which was not very far from the car. You can see neighboring tents but the property is wooded and has lots of native vegetation. There is...

We tent camped at Quietside over the long July 4th weekend on the recommendation of a checkout clerk at Walmart, who struck up a conversation based on the copy of Down East Magazine in my carriage. She was a Bar Harbor native, so we took her advice and are glad we did. We wanted a natural, wooded, dog-friendly campground without...

Stayed in a camper cabin - made our trip just right. Beautiful, secluded, wooded setting & yet a roof & matresses, microwave & minifrig were just right to help us get up and going in the mornings. Camp is clean and quiet.

We lucked out on a holiday weekend with the last resie at quiet side. Owner was very nice and efficient. Baked goods for sale, which was nice. Campsite was nice and had decent distance from other sites. Location is definitely on the quiet side of the island, but close enough to some good restaurants. Bathrooms were fine - could use...

Quietside was recommended by a friend so we gave it a try - thought for less money than the federal campgrounds we'd also get free hot showers. We arrived outside office hours and got our tent site - but the new huge tent we had didn't fit. We moved to another site nearby hoping the late season (late September/early October)...

The name was what got me. "Quiet." And that's exactly what I was looking for in my camping experience, a chance to get away from it all, to listen to the sounds of nature, to escape the humdrum of life, my noisy neighbors, sleep in, etc. These are things I did not get from Quietside. Now I expect, it being...

We tent camped while staying here, very reasonably priced and the name fits the camp site perfectly. One of the only places I can remember recently that still believes in the honor system too, very refreshing. The owner was very friendly camp sites secluded, bath facilities clean and close. They even had laundry facilities if you needed to wash something....

Great place - we tent camped - they took all the angled hills and built platforms for camping which as an engineer I find ingenious. The owner is extremely friendly - one of the only places left that works on the honor system. Sites are secluded and large - our only complaint was that they were booked for some extra...

We stayed at Quietside Campground in a large RV. In our many years of exploration via motor coach, we would rate this campground very near the bottom of our list. CONS: 1. Bad(!!!!) water quality. Off in color and foul smelling, even filtered 3 types with a Brita water filter it was undrinkable. 2. The dense vegetation makes nice concealment...
