I am a diehard Marriott loyalist and have literally stayed in a great many different Marriott brand properties all over the country over a thirty-year period of business travel with a combination of long and short stays. The Marriott Residence Inn in Bath, Maine where we stayed the other night is absolutely one of the best stay experiences that we've ever had. From the moment of check-in, every single employee that we encountered was outgoing, professional and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Also, the morning breakfast offerings, variety and quality are unquestionably the best that we've ever had anywhere. The dining area was spotless, food fresh and appetizing looking and great tasting beyond belief. The staff was constantly checking and replenishing everything, constantly cleaning and tidying up and making sure that all guests had everything they might need or want. Thank you all for a wonderful stay and experience. Great job!!

On our way to Acadia, after a 10 day exploration of the Hudson River Valley; we stopped here for an overnight break.
It was a great decision.
The facility is clean and well-maintained; with the usual franchise design.
Our check-in with Rick was wonderful; he was welcoming, informative and humorous.
His suggestion of Taste of Maine for dinner (where we dined) was much appreciated; as was his info re Red's Eats in Wiscasett (which we lunched at on our next day's travels)
Our room provided a comfortable respite ,after a day on the road.
The next morning's breakfast was also a real treat. Ann and her coworkers do an excellent job of presenting and maintaining a well kept dining area; with a very decent array of edibles from which to choose. The whole experience was a step above many other complimentary offerings we've encountered.
All and all; if again in the area, we would definitely return here for our lodging.

The Residence Inn in Bath is centrally located for traveling up and down the coast of Maine. My husband and I are staying here a month. The suite is very comfortable with a nice kitchen, living room, desk area and bedroom and bathroom. The bed is very comfortable as are the pillows. The breakfast is the best we've ever had at a hotel! Thestaff is super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone!

When we checked in, we were told that the hotel does not offer housekeeping every day due to staffing shortages, but that if you stayed 2+ nights that housekeeping would come to clean the room. On Saturday, our third day, we thought that housekeeping would have come in the morning while we were out, but this did not happen. We called the front desk at noon to let them know that housekeeping needed to clean our room and that we would be leaving for an event after 2pm. Imagine our surprise when we returned on Saturday evening and saw that housekeeping never cleaned our room. I was pretty upset. I called down and let the front desk know and asked them to send up clean towels which they did. The total for my three night stay was over $1,000 and I must say this is unacceptable for the product I received. I work in hospitality and am very familiar with the staffing crunch, however, I feel like the amount charged does not line up with the quality of what was received. I reached out to speak with someone immediately after my stay and was offered additional Marriott points as compensation. That is hilarious - in closing - I should have gone with the less expensive option and stayed elsewhere because for $300/night - this place is not worth it!

Caution if you call ahead and get a rate quote and even though it may have been emailed, they claimed a different rate for me. And after checking out, having picked up and left a generous housekeeping tip, having told two desk clerks the night before, two clerks that morning, and seeing the manager as I drive away, I was charged for the night I had left the hotel in the early morning

On the positive, I stayed here a few weeks and that gives a period of overview. The room and hotel are super clean and mostly well maintained and updated. Took photos of pulled threads in the carpet in case my dogs were accused. The breakfast spread was great. And the hotel staff was super friendly.

On disputing the overcharge for a night I received, I emailed asking for a statement of charges, it came with no comments and I emailed questioning the charge for the night I was not there after check out. And I received no reply by email. I called and the manager later called back and said I had not checked out. And questioned my truth stating that he knew I hadn’t checked out and he had asked other employees too.

It took an assertive vociferous veracity and clearly outlining I had told them, checked early in the morning and drove to a hotel in Pennsylvania to be with my mother who had had an aneurysm. At this point I had been gaslighted and maligned enough and had to become aggressive and threaten active recourse for refund for the night of overcharge. The manager conceded and said he would refund me for the night, but to not harass him or his employees and further. I started this out as a simple inquiry and the manager was strongly defensive to which I did not waiver with varied statements of the hotel being a victim, in checking that I was gone, asking staff about me, me objecting to being charged as harassment etc. He finally conceded to reimburse me for the night I wasn't there. And I am still waiting for it.

Am shocked this is how they want to treat guests who’ve paid thousands and are gold elite members.

The Residence Inn in Bath Maine is one of the better Residence Inn’s we’ve stayed in. It is clean the bed it’s comfortable. It’s relatively quiet and it’s near quite a few attractions.
What sets this hotel apart are the people. The staff are professionals and genuinely warm. They take an interest in everyone and are able to accommodate requests or deal with any issues. I really felt they wanted us to have a great time. I want to make special mention of the housekeeping staff, who always had a smile and meet any request.
The breakfast is above and beyond other breakfast included places. The staff is always replenishing supplies meeting, special requests, and they have fresh fruit and plain Greek yogurt. They have nice omelettes as someone said they actually serve real food.
All in all, we felt very rested and happy when we left. Thank you all at the bath me and Residence Inn. It was a unique experience.

This Residence Inn offers all-suite rooms. This one bedroom suite had a handicapped equipped bathroom with a walk-in shower which they reserved for me and it is the only suite in the hotel so equipped.
The whole experience was very good, from the front desk to the room cleaners to the free breakfast offerings.
Just one suggestion for the management.Since there is only one handicapped suite it gets a great amount of usage by disable people, some who are wheelchair bound and others who just need the stability of the hand rails in the bathroom. Therefore, it needs some renovations to bring it up to the standards expected. The furniture was a little worn and rickety and the roll-out couch was not very comfortable for regular seating. That said, the bed was very comfortable.
My suggestion does not change my overall opinion of an excellent four day stay. I would recommend this site to anyone staying in the Brunswick/Bath area.

I highly recommend this hotel. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and we were very satisfied. Rooms are clean & smell fresh with a complete suite with full kitchen which made it easier for family with young kids. Staff are extremely professional and helpful. They recommended us some great place to eat and visit! We were very happy with our stay at this hotel and would definitely come back.

We stayed here just one night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room is so spacious and plenty of room to spread out. We loved having access to laundry onsite especially after a couple of days of hiking it’s a great amenity. Brian at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions in the area. The breakfast is top notch for a hotel and greatly appreciated. Great stay!

Decided to tack on a couple of extra days prior to spending the 4th of July weekend in Ogunquit. Great decision. Excellent location for a day trip to Boothbay Harbor. Easy ride to Freeport for LL Bean and the outlets.

Front end staff, breakfast attendants and housekeeping crew were very pleasant and accommodating. The lobby and common areas were clean and modern. The bathroom fixtures in the 1br suite appeared to be updated. The furniture in the suite appeared to be dated. That I had no bearing on how much we enjoyed the property.

Will definitely be back and tour the maritime museum in Bath. There is also s trolley that runs seasonally. The driver was a walking encyclopedia of Bath knowledge. Will definitely be back in the future.
