Well, in the time of Covid we are happy to have found a clean updated motel room that is comfortable for two travelers. It's right off the road which means traffic noise and the curb appeal is lacking but it's very well updated and recently purchased by another hotel in town. Maybe a pool, chairs, or picnic table is in the future.

I rarely stay in motels and many of those experiences have been less than pleasant. Yankee Clipper is an exception. The rooms are impeccably clean and upgraded. The furniture and flooring was similar to what you find in recently updated hotels. I had a small dog and the fee was only $20 and they did not hassle me or have me sign a waiver. The housekeeping staff were very pleasant. The hotel is not quite in Belfast, but I did not see any options closer into town. This is worth every dollar.

We booked at the Yankee Clipper while on a roadtrip from the midwest through the New England states. Belfast is a wonderful town with very friendly people & the Yankee Clipper motel did not disappoint! Sparkling clean, great location & friendly staff. We would definitely return!

We were on a two-week road trip, and this motel - surprisingly - was the best of all. For a motel along a highway strip, it far exceeded our expectations. The doors were good quality and kept most of the noise out. The furniture was new and solidly-built, the lighting soft and welcoming, the walls freshly-painted in warm yellow hues, and the location perfect. It was near the footbridge that can be walked over to the harbor and the heart of town. The receptionist was kind and friendly, too! He made us feel very welcome, and took his time to describe how to get around town. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

Stopped here without a reservation we were able to get a room with a King bed. The room was very nice and clean the road noise was minimal. They do not have breakfast but there is a coffee maker with cream in the room.
