This was my first ski inn experience, and it was absolutely wonderful. We drove up 5 hours from CT and the staff was so friendly that they let us check in early, and left breakfast out for us as well. The Inn is what you make out of it. We skied all day, came back to the inn, brought our...

The best place and the most awesome people running the Inn. I am a season ski pass holder for Sunday River. I have stayed at both hotels and a condo and am now staying at the Snow Cap Inn. As a season pass holder we get a special rate for any of the hotels. The Snow Cap Inn is well...

Pro: awesome staff - Sue was super helpful and patient - close to mountain, good value if proximity to mntn is critical to you, very basic breakfast included. Con: loud college groups, very dated everything, loud inefficient heating system, sketchy bedding, uncomfortable bed, weird bathroom/sink layout. We booked our stay here last minute w/o doing research. When arrived to a...

I was worried about the place based on all the neg reviews. Ok, the bathroom is tiny, but not really a big deal. The sink is outside the bathroom.. The room is on the small side but adequate. I tested the heater when we first checked in and it is about as noisy as an a/c wall unit would be.....

This is an economy lodge with some nice touches. That's about it. If they upgraded the bedding, the noisy heater probably wouldn't be so noticeable. Staff are friendly, the fireside sofas are nice, you can get tea/coffee/iced water 24/7, the hot tub is a nice touch. The rooms are fine but basic. My main complaint was that the pillows STANK...

Very quiet and nice. Only place available in an 80 mile area because of "leaf peepers", fall festival and wife carrying contest. Nice place...... clean, comfortable and quiet. Cordial staff. Price was right too because it was "off season".

We went for the skiing. We went for the skiing. We went for the skiing. I kept telling myself that! (And the skiing was AWESOME!! Absolutely no complaints, I found many Happy Places at Sunday River!) OK, let's start with the positives: - very friendly staff, esp. Deb who went out of her way to make you feel welcome; -...

I've stayed at a lot of other ski resorts, and so far the Snow Cap Inn has been the coziest and enjoyable place I've ever stayed, so I'm kind of scratching my head about the negative comments. The reviews made me very nervous about staying here, especially since I was going to be sharing a room with three perfect strangers,...

Description a little misleading on the Sunday River resort web site. The "Inn" was ok, rooms were clean but not over the top. The bathroom was sooo small and not heated. The heating system went on and off constantly and we had to actually shut it off to get any sleep, which meant sleeping in the cold room, which wasn't...

If this place was not close to the mountain, no one would ever go to it. I have never been to a place where I wasn't as conscious of the owners saving money by not investing in it... Even when going downstairs to the ping pong table and going to the front lobby to get paddles: they gave us two...

“I was in room 425 which has it's own quiet wing at the top floor. Make sure that the room is not to hot, that the window closes and the shade works. Make sure the heat or a/c works before moving into your room and also make sure you have decent sheets!!!”
