We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Fiddlehead Inn Bed and Breakfast. The accommodations on the second floor are amazing, including our own private parlor. The fact that there is only one bathroom upstairs was not an issue for us, as the second bedroom was not booked the night we stayed. Saundra and Dick were so helpful and easy to...

The Innkeeper emailed today to cancel our reservation, 9 days in advance. We had trouble booking a couple months ago, I sent several emails followed by several phone calls before I was finally able to reach her by phone. I had never had this experience with a BB before and in retrospect I should have been more concerned. There are...

It is never pleasant to disappoint anyone's plans for staying at the Fiddlehead inn. I have only experienced previously (one time) in eight years. The following cancellation was received by the reviewer' "It is highly unusual for me to cancel a stay at the inn. Due to circumstances beyond my control , the inn will be closed on Sept. 24....

In some situations it is probably better to be silent...in order to avoid "he said & she said". I will be brief and as accurate as possible. I had several telephone conversations with the daughter in law who made a reservation for two rooms. I explained both rooms are on the second floor of the inn. The guest had available...

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at the Fiddlehead Inn. Perfect location if attending a function at the Darlings Riverfront venue. Saundra and Dick, made us feel very much at home. We enjoyed the casual environment and delicious breakfasts. The Inn is beautifully decorated with carefully chosen pieces that all have a story. They happily accomodated my...

The Fiddlehead Inn is a beautiful well preserved civil war colonial filled with antiques. Saundra is an attentive helpful host. The coffee is good and the breakfast quite nice and fresh. You will need reservations for the more popular restaurants in Bangor. Call them yourself or ask Saundra to make reservations.

My boyfriend and I spent one night at this charming B&B - a stop between camping at Moosehead Lake and camping at Acadia. As others have said, Saundra's gracious, welcoming and pampering ways helped to make this a wonderful experience. It was a short walk to a nice dinner on the river. My boyfriend is not at all a vegetarian...

Maticulously decorated and maintained; charming and quiet B&B. The innkeeper, Saundra, was gracious and made us feel as welcomed guests in her home. We stayed two nights in the Champlain room which overlooked the beautiful front gardens. Short walk to revitalized Penobscot River front. You won't be disappointed!

“The twin bedroom had a bath down the hall. I'm not sure about the other rooms if they shared the bathroom or had their own. We were the only guests the 2 nights we were there so for us it did not matter anyway, but something worth inquiring about with the innkeeper.”
