There is nothing negative I can say about this amazing resort! The beach is beyond words! If you saw a pervious negative review, pay it no mind! The food was outstanding, order extras at your complimentary breakfast and they gladly pack it all up for you to graze on during the day. If it's not on the menu, they will accommodate you as best they can. You can order half portions because their full portions are very generous. Homemade breads and pastries and fruit marmalades..it's simply the best! Time to visit is "low" season which I did, it was quiet and only at 12% capacity so I got plenty of attention and great service. This property is clean to the max and they are always sanitizing everything. Gracious staff, outstanding rooms, terrific food & drinks, attention to every detail with a respect for the environment will have me returning next year!

For context, The Bodrum Edition is probably my favorite beachfront property and I've done GBC in T&C, Park Hyatt St Kitts, etc. Chablé Maroma exceeds both of those places and is on bar with The Bodrum Edition. The service, the private villa, the food, the pool/beach...Everything was incredibly on point. We stayed in Villa 219 (I believe? It was called Kuche and a stand-alone villa at the very end of the 200s "alley"). The bathroom was enormous with indoor and outdoor showers. The bedroom part was incredibly comfortable with huge windows that made you feel like you were in your own little private part of the jungle. The private pool area was beautiful with an extra-wide lounger and the largest plunge pool I've seen. We enjoyed a couple of free beers from the complimentary minibar at night by our pool. Housekeeping is 2x daily so the room always felt clean with fresh towels, etc. We did room service one night and what a spread! Hector took the time to explain each dish, each sauce and then timed it perfectly to come back within a few minutes of us finishing. The small, thoughtful details here really make the difference. Multiple staff remembered our names, room numbers, what drink I liked. The staff seemed genuinely happy and proud to work there, knowledgable about the menus and just so friendly and wonderful. Shout-out to Samuel for an excellent cocktail-making class (included!) that got me behind the bar and really showed how much work goes into each fresh ingredient. It gave me an increased appreciation for our beautiful drinks. Esteban, Hector, Fernando were all also wonderful. I can't say enough about the attentive, personalized service. We tried all the restaurants and enjoyed each meal. The tacos (particularly suckling pig) were insanely good and I was impressed by the deliciousness of the cocktails. The bartenders are among the best I've ever experienced. Both of us were incredibly disappointed we weren't able to stay another day or two. We agreed that next time you really need at least four nights at a place like this before you're ready to return to the real world :)

I will start with saying that there are many wonderful staff members at this resort. The location is in the middle of the jungle so if you’re looking for absolute privacy (and wilderness) you can find it here. The problem is that there is an overall lack of hospitality training and management. Customer service was nonexistent especially among the staff that I assumed were management but really not sure because they did not seem to have a clue. When we arrived after reserving a Villa with two Queen size beds we were escorted to a Villa with two double beds. After 20 minutes of trying to explain what the difference was between a Queen and a Double (if your first language is not Spanish it will be very hard for you to have your needs met at this resort) I was told that there were no other options and no other concessions could be made. So we had no choice but to accept it and move on. The next day we awoke to several wild Coati (Mexican Raccoons) outside of our bedroom door and very large piles of feces on our front steps. Yes this resort is in the middle of the jungle, but I didn’t expect to be THIS close to nature. There is no door or lock leading up to your Villa and the lock on your Villa bedroom door is magnetic and loosely held closed by a single screw. We did not feel safe at all. The most horrific incident of all was the morning that a staff member delivered sweet breads and coffee to the Villa and instead of placing it inside (or outside) of my Villa, he proceeded to hand me a soft basket with a stainless steel carafe of hot coffee unstably resting on top of the soft bread basket. As I reached to accept the delivery half asleep and in my nightgown, I screamed with horror as the entire pot of hot coffee spilled on to my bare neck and chest. The worst part of it all was no one came to my aid. The server left and came back 30 minutes later with a towel and a spray bottle to clean up the floor and not a call or a visit by anyone until halfway into the day a staff member came with a makeshift first aid kit with Aloe Vera! I then completed an incident report so that my injury could be documented for my return to the states. Again, not a single call or visit from anyone in management and no mention of the incident when we checked out.

Dear 843laylac, Thank you for sharing your experience during your recent stay, I’m truly sorry you didn’t enjoy your visit as expected, I appreciate the feedback shared, As mentioned during your stay our Queen size beds are indeed 1.53 mt X 2.03 mt. As part of our sustainable program we have many protected species in the property and the Coati is as one of the them, they are harmless and very important part of the ecosystem, we have biologist on property who assist with us to make sure they can be away of the villas and close the natures cycle, I apologize for the incident at your terrace. We have revised the morning pastries and coffee amenity delivery in order to ensure there are no further incidents. I take note of each one of your comments and personally will follow up, it definitely helps us to improve our service and facilities, hoping to have the opportunity to welcome you back.
