This is a fine inn in a quiet, beautiful stretch of the Maine coast. The room was perfect with especially nice plumbing and bed comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with the helpful and friendly co-owners. We especially enjoyed the two nearby hikes, including one to a perfect, unspoiled beach. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations, especialy given the current Maine rules during Covid: It included a big fresh scone with jam, yogurt and granola, plus hard-boiled eggs, all arranged nicely on a tray to consume at the many tables in the pleasant rear garden. The in-room coffee and tea was also well arranged with a cool electric kettle. We will definitely return soon!
Don't bother reading reviews prior to 2019 because the new owners have taken this landmark inn to a new, yet more restrained level of hospitality. Step back in time without losing that calm warm aesthetic that says, "Welcome friends." Come for dinner, stay the night if you can, then have the best breakfast ever cooked just for you by the owner. We'll be back.
The Brooklin Inn was a quaint, out of the way, delightful place to stay. Our room was so homey and comfortable and we got a wondeful nights rest! The service was terrific, with a homemade breakfast waiting for us each morning we got up...all with yummy locally grown ingredients. We had dinner 2 nights in the pub and each night it delicious! The dining room upstairs was very nice as well. It is centrally located if you want to be near the ocean and art galleries and the more peaceful side of Maine. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again. Our host Chip was very friendly and made us feel most welcome!
