When i say it was scary, I'm not exagerating. This place was like being in a horror movie. First off the water was not pottable, there were signs in the bathroom and gallon jugs throughout the house, how do you run an inn and restaurant with unsafe water? The windows rattled and the thin sheer lace curtains blew with the windows closed. The rooms had no heat...in maine...in october! I had to hang blankets in the windows for any privacy and to keep out the weather. The view was nice but i was honestly worried we were going to be murdered. The room doors were original, thin wood with only a tiny metal latch. There was also a perpetual yard sale that took up most of the main floor...literally tables of junk for sale, the inn owner kept telling us his prior guests bought all kinds of things from him. The junk took over most of the main floor and spilled out to the porches, it was dirty and looked like a horder's house. I didn't sleep a wink. It was miserable.…
The best location in Maine. The service is excellent. Staff is wonderful. An non- pretentious old country inn. The owner is outstanding. Don't expect fancy but very comfortable and relaxing. Great to watch the changing tides and walk out to the islands.
Beautiful, Clean, Friendly place! Simply Amazing! The staff is so helpful, the rooms immaculate, the views are breathtaking and the beach is just wonderful. This is the place to come to relax and just enjoy life!
Recommended to us by locals. Beautiful spot at the end of Fly Pointe road, great place for a drink and a meal. Server was very friendly even though she was alone and slammed in the bar and dining room. I had the best salmon ever which was smoked with an apricot pepper glaze. Delicious!!
I had booked a reservation for June 10 and 11 - it looked good "on paper". However: First, there were no directions on how to find the location and the "garmin" in the car took us on a wild goose chase. Tried to call for info, but no one available. Finally, got directions from hikers. Arrived at site - very deserted and very remote. They did have a room - third floor up a narrow stair with no railing. No heat in the building and the kitchen didn't open until the following week (no other place nearby for meals). The final straw was: The person who showed us the room said they did not open until the following week! But we could stay. Note: on the coast even in early June, the weather is cold! We were able to get our money refunded and found another location which was great!…
