Check-in couldn't be until 4pm. No refrigerator in the room. No ice bucket or ice machine available, had to go to the downstairs bar for ice, outside traffic noise was loud, heard the guy in the room below us snoring, room was cold, the exterior wall was cold to the touch, the heater was really noisy, the shower took forever...

The hotel is very nice and can tell new in the past couple of years. The rooms are cozy and quiet. I guess the one complaint would be that they seemed a little stingy on giving you more soap/shampoo/conditioner. We stayed for 4 days and didn't get replenished with these amenities daily. The Tavern was great for both breakfast and...

While it was nice to have a place for Christmas dinner, the atmosphere was not festive, the service was poor, and the food average. Although we had reservations, and the dinner room wasn't full, they seated us in the bar, with another couple at our elbows. My husband has a handicap and needed some help, however the staff told us...

My wife and I took a trip to Maine to see Acadia and the LL Bean store - so we stayed in another Bath hotel over the Holiday Weekend. However, we enjoyed going to a most wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at the Brunswick Hotel and Tavern. They had a great selection of meats, salads, deserts, and a great group of servers....

7 of us for dinner. Started off great with yummy appetizers but then it got busy and when our dinners came, two meat dishes were cold and seared tuna, which was the catch of the day was very overcooked and dry. The waiter specifically told me the chef likes to cook it medium rare and I said that was fine....

Reception managed to check us in early despite the arrival of a tour coach shortly before us. Rooms are large enough and the beds are really comfortable.Bathrooms were impressive in size and quality. Breakfast was really good. Staff were efficient and helpful. The hotel is located right in the centre of town so plenty of choice for restaurants

A nice quality hotel a short walk from Bowdoin College and a number of good restaurants. The rooms are a decent size and the bed was possibly the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Staff were keen to help when they could, umbrellas were offered to keep us dry as we went out in the evening. Breakfast was good,...

A very pleasant cozy establishment close to train and bus station but quiet. Friendly staff and comfortable restaurant. Nice sized bedrooms with all amenities and restful bed. A very enjoyable one night’s stay.

I thought that the Brunswick Hotel was quiet and comfortable and everything that I may have needed was basically right at my fingertips. The hotel is also walking distance to amenities like great restaurants and coffee shops, and to Bowdoin College. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
