Decent motel at a fair price. Nothing to brag about but no complaints. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Soap but no shampoo so bring your own, clean the coffee maker before you use it, get an extra garbage bag to line the ice bucket and you will be fine. It's a motel so my expectations are low.Be sure to ask for a river view room if you stay here.

I’ve stayed here many times, there just aren’t a lot of choices in the border town. The rooms are comfortable, especially if you remember to ask for one of the renovated rooms. If I’m going to have down time between meetings then I ask for one of the river view rooms. These also have less noise from other guests coming and going. However, this trip was marred by having to listen to the couple in the adjoining room arguing. They could really use some better sound proofing between the rooms… and why when the place is only 1/2 full do they not leave an empty room between the occupied rooms?

Check in was fast, manager was super friendly, clean basic room that is large but dated. Pillows could be nicer and blanket a bit warmer (super cold out, but heat worked well.) Good food short walk away. Not lots of options in the area on the US side.

This hotel had friendly staff. When I arrived in my room neither microwave or refridge worked both were replaced immediately. The beds were comfy sheets soft and rooms were clean. I was part of a huge group traveling for business and they handled it with great aplomb. House keeping came in daily and made beds and gave clean towels hard to come by during covid 19 times. And made your bed, again hard to come by during covid 19 times. Some hotels I have been in won't do the beds or towels unless you ask. Yep the rooms are dated, but clean, and it is clean that is all I care about..... Also during covid 19 times so I give them cred for taking care of our mobile vaccination unit for Covid. One draw back after 10pm office closes and you can't get ice but there is a 24 hr Irving gas station not even a quarter of mile away.

We planned to spend one night and Calais and were in need of an overnight charge for our EV. We wanted a simple, clean motel with direct entrance to room. This was perfect, with clean room, very pleasant check-in. We had two double beds which was fine but you may want to request a room with a King. The ChargePoint charger worked great after I figured out how to load the app and add a credit card so you may want to do this in advance. If you have a Tesla as I do, make certain you have your adaptor. The have one charger with two ports. There is a Tesla supercharger 4 miles a way if you have a problem. Another plus was the price and the excellent diner next door. Plan to go to the diner and don't fret the lack of breakfast at the motel.

I was anticipating this would be more like a older motel, perhaps a bit outdated. I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully recently refurbished room! It was crisp and modern-looking, with a larger fridge than most hotel rooms I stay in for work, as well as a microwave and large desk. The bathroom was small but also very recently updated and very clean. Service was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend crossing the border (if you have your passport!) to eat at 5 Kings Pub (excellent food and cocktails, just a few minutes away from the hotel) and taking a stroll near the park and library downtown. Great river views and charming town! I would recommend a visit, and a stay at this motel, to anyone.

This is a nice, basic place. We had a riverview room with a king sized bed and enjoyed a gorgeous, unobstructed view of the St. Croix. Each room opens to the outside, and has a concrete porch with chairs. We didn't sit out there because the weather was lousy, but had it been nicer, this would have been a great feature. The owner is a longtime area resident and has lots of great stories. The room was well maintained as well as clean.

Run don't walk just run. If the other hotel in town had rooms, we would have stayed there. After a really long travel day, this place capped our day as the worst.
Filthy carpets - we didn't want to take our shoes off. Dusty furniture. No shampoo in bathroom. Lumpy beds.

For the price of C$143, they should be charged with robbery.

The Riverview rooms are newer and much nicer than the Standard rooms. Spend the extra few dollars for the better room. The view from the Riverview Rooms across the river and of the hotel grounds is very nice.

Our schedule was very up in the air with motorcycle ride to Nova Scotia and changed and canceled a night without any issues. Stayed there one night and it was very clean and peaceful. There’s a diner right next door that was convenient. We stayed in the Riverview rooms overlooking river and Canada. Staff was very nice.

When you make your reservation they will ask you if you plan on arriving after 10;00pm. I'm not sure, but I think they will make arrangements with you if you are later than 10:00pm?
