Took advantage of a Groupon and was so impressed with the Lodge. Jim and Jody were so friendly. They gave us great recommendations for dinner and Jim was kind enough to take the time to show me how to get to the trails at Camden Hills State Park by cutting through the back of the property which also had marked...

Very clean grounds. The room was very modern with frig, microwave, and king size bed with private porch and ocean view. Private belcony with a view was nice. I would recommend this hotel to friends. Very nice.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Rockwood cabin and it was absolutely amazing. This was our first vacation together and we couldn't have picked a better place. The room was very clean and felt like home and view from our deck was stellar. The only problem I had was that I asked for rose petals, chocolate & sparkling cider...

Warm welcome, luxurious room, lovely grounds, spectacular view of Penobscot Bay, delicious breakfast muffins. The cabins are set back from Route 1 and up the hill, so they feel secluded even though they are right off the main drag. Each room is equipped with a Maine atlas to help you plan your next day's adventure. We watched the moon rise...

We went up to Camden for a weekend getaway and stayed here from Friday to Sunday. People were hospitable, professional and attentive to our needs. Location is about 2 minutes in the car from downtown. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are staying in the Maine Mid Coast area.

Thank you coach for your review. While the Lodge is located a couple of minutes from the Camden Harbor and downtown, with great views of Penobscot Bay, we are conveniently located about twenty minutes from Belfast and Rockland. Which makes us a perfect spot to stay when visiting the Mid-coast. We hope you stay with us again so we may...

This lodge was excellent! I had called a few times with some questions and they were extremely helpful and friendly on the phone. The room was perfect with a bed that's like sleeping on a cloud! The breakfast was delicious. We had blueberry muffins one day and crescents the next. My only recommendation to someone is if you like a...

We traveled to the Lodge last weekend with Maggie, our elderly Labrador Retriever, and as always, had a most relaxing and comfortable time. Jody and Jim are the absolute most thoughtful hosts, and we also met Nell, who seems like a natural addition to the welcoming atmosphere here. The cottage we stayed in was so home like, and the breakfast...

Thank you Gwen, Jim and of course Maggie. It means so much to us when we get an evaluation such as yours. Our continental breakfast, delivered to your door each morning, is a new addition. I'd like to take the credit as the baker of the croissants and muffins, but I can't. They are made fresh for us every morning...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Lodge at Camden Hills is one of the Camden's most scenic properties. Owned by the Burgess family for over forty years, the Lodge is a village of four cottages, four suites, and four standard rooms in five unique buildings across nine acres. With a view of Penobscot Bay ahead and Mount Battie directly behind us, it is easy to relax at the Lodge. Watch sailboats on the bay, wind-blown from island to island, from your private deck. Enjoy well-appointed, clean, and comfortable lodging. There is comfort in the privacy of your own space at the Lodge. Each room has a private entrance with parking and a deck with water views of Penobscot Bay. Our goal is to make our rooms as comfortable as possible. It is our experience that after a good night's sleep, Maine will work its magic on your mind and spirit! Our luxurious bedding by Cuddledown will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Our Maine-made comforters and pillows along with 400-thread count, 100% combed cotton bedding are inviting, soft, and comfortable. A continental breakfast basket is hung outside your door each morning so you can enjoy breakfast in your room at your leisure before heading out to explore the mid-coast. Start your morning with freshly-brewed coffee, tea, local baked goods, Maine-made Stonewall Kitchen jam, and orange juice. At day's end experience dramatically dark, star-filled skies, the robust smell of fir trees mixed with a little wood smoke, and cool air on your skin. Together these elements create an experience that is what Maine is all about. ... more   less
