The staff was great, they let us check in early. I loved receiving a basket of small bites in a basket each morning. The spaces were well kept. A great retreat from Christmas in Boston. A few words of caution: If you're staying in the Jacuzzi suite, it will take patience to get the Jacuzzi filled with HOT water. If...

Thank you for your review Malik. It was very nice to meet you. We offer double sided gas fireplaces for those that don't enjoy the aroma of wood smoke in several of our cottages, and you're right it does take some patience to fill the Jacuzzi, its over 150 gallons of hot water. We are located on the eastern slope...

My room was simple and elegant; there are lanterns which softly light the edge of the woods behind the rooms. Very private and quiet, views overlooking the ocean, a perfect place to rest and rejuvenate, while the town is just minutes away. Lovely, and a kind staff.

This is our second stay which was just as enjoyable as our first. This time we were in the Port Clyde Loft Bedroom. The working fireplace was very enjoyable on a rainy November evening. The king size bed is extremely comfortable, the room was immaculate, the view fantastic, check in/out was a breeze. The morning croissants and jam were a...

Thank you for bringing the heating noise to our attention. We have addressed the issue, replacing the air vent in the system which removes trapped air in the pipes that causes the noise. The Lodge at Camden Hills

We stayed overnight at the Lodge at Camden Hills in early November. The owner was warm and welcoming, the room was comfortable, clean, and had a wonderful view of the Bay, and the bakery items delivered to the door in a hanging basket in the morning was the icing on the cake. We loved it. Nice fireplace & kitchen too!

The accomodations were private yet within a mile of Camden Village. Went out of their way for anything we needed. So very private, quiet with amazing views of Penobscot Bay from the cottage. Congratulations on their 40 years in business. Keep it up. We will be back. They provide unparralled service for individual needs. Thanks again for a much needed rest....

This is one of the nicest Inns in Camden--warm cozy fireplace beautiful views of the distant bay wonderful rooms great welcome and service…have stayed here several times and never had a bad experience or complaint. Every detail fabulous and reasonably priced--a few extra minutes outside of Camden but well worth it.

Recently completed a 3 night stay in Snow Cottage. The entire experience was wonderful. Jim was very helpful in modifying our reservation and placing us in Snow Cottage. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. We used the kitchen to eat in 2 of the evenings and the fireplace provided warmth in multiple ways. Everything was very clean. Additionally, Manager Nell...

We choose this place to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. As he has been a traveler who has visited half the world, the idea was to find an intimate quiet place, surrounded by nature where we could also enjoy the company of our beloved black lab. Well, we definitely made the perfect choice! The Lodge at Camden Hill, was the...

Second time at The Lodge at Camden Hills in the Penobscot cottage and better than the first. Aside from having all the usual amenities, it is just a comfortable, cozy welcoming place. Well situated close to the center of Camden, the views of Penobscot bay were great. The owners and or resident management could not have done more to make...

Once again our stay at the Lodge at Camden Hills was terrific. We were traveling home from Nova Scotia and stayed in the Owls Head loft unit and it was perfect. The loft unit is two levels and provides a very nice sitting area with a mini-kitchen and a fireplace. We found it so relaxing that we decided to stay...

The Lodge at Camden Hills is one of the Camden's most scenic properties. Owned by the Burgess family for over forty years, the Lodge is a village of four cottages, four suites, and four standard rooms in five unique buildings across nine acres. With a view of Penobscot Bay ahead and Mount Battie directly behind us, it is easy to relax at the Lodge. Watch sailboats on the bay, wind-blown from island to island, from your private deck. Enjoy well-appointed, clean, and comfortable lodging. There is comfort in the privacy of your own space at the Lodge. Each room has a private entrance with parking and a deck with water views of Penobscot Bay. Our goal is to make our rooms as comfortable as possible. It is our experience that after a good night's sleep, Maine will work its magic on your mind and spirit! Our luxurious bedding by Cuddledown will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Our Maine-made comforters and pillows along with 400-thread count, 100% combed cotton bedding are inviting, soft, and comfortable. A continental breakfast basket is hung outside your door each morning so you can enjoy breakfast in your room at your leisure before heading out to explore the mid-coast. Start your morning with freshly-brewed coffee, tea, local baked goods, Maine-made Stonewall Kitchen jam, and orange juice. At day's end experience dramatically dark, star-filled skies, the robust smell of fir trees mixed with a little wood smoke, and cool air on your skin. Together these elements create an experience that is what Maine is all about. ... more   less
