We have been having a guy's weekend in Kennebunkport for a number of years. In years past we had stayed in a private residence, but it had recently been sold. Based in the reviews, we booked into this property. The excellent reviews were spot on. The owners, John and Debra couldn't have been nicer. The rooms, while modest were immaculate....

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cape Porpoise Motel. We were travelling with our newborn baby and my parents and it was a very comfortable stay. The owners are exceptionally hospitable and friendly, without being pushy. The room was very clean and had everything we needed including a fridge and a microwave. The breakfast spread was amazing, a really...

It was a pleasure to stay at John & Debra in Cape Porpoise. The rooms were clean and the Hosts are friedly. It feels like visiting grandma and grandpa. The breakfast is great for a start in a sunny day at the coast.

While the Cape Porpoise Motel does not offer anything fancy, it does offer Clean Rooms, along with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, in a peaceful and quiet locale just minutes from downtown Kennebunkport. This is a small family managed property, and the hosts ( John & Deb) go out of their way to make certain that their guests feel welcomed. A...

Spent two nights here while attending a family reunion. It was recommended by a friend. What a nice surprise. It's set up like a little motel from the 50s or 60s but felt like a B & B. Room 7 wasn't huge but had two full beds, one of which was ticked in a little nook so we weren't on...

A slender strip of rooms framed by flower boxes overflowing along the sleepy veranda lies on your right as you pull right up to the door of this cozy motel. No schelping through a lobby or standing in line as the owner greets you with a handshake that says you've just checked in. The simple rooms are fresh and spotless...

We can't put into words how amazing this place is! We brought our bicycles and used them for our transportation while in Kennebunkport. So close to everything but just far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of sitting on the front lawn. The owners, Jon and Deb, feel like old friends and were the most gracious hosts. We came with...

This motel has lived a long life, BUT our room had new carpet, new tile in bathroom, modern and clean bathtub, a good-sized mini fridge, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. There's something sweet about this place. The fact that the owner, John, is so kind, thoughtful, friendly, and helpful seals the deal!

It's rare to find an independent motel these days, and when you do, you're always wondering what you'll find when you get into your room. There's absolutely nothing to worry about here. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It's very basic, but that shouldn't turn you away, as the friendliness of the owners, the incredible baked goods, and the...

Perfectly located between Kennebunkport and goose rocks beach, owners John and Debra are the best! Great homemade goodies for breakfast every morning, this is my second time back. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone.
