The resort isn’t the family friendly place you remember. Cove Communities purchased the resort a few years ago. You will be charged separately for activities that would have been previously included in your stay. Core employee are no longer with the resort... and the food continues to be terrible. The change in ownership is impacting homeowners as well. As a home owner we are allowed to rent our home and we pay fees to Point Sebago for access to the beach and other amenities. We have deeded access to the beach as written in the CSA documents. Cove communities is now making us charge anyone who rents our home an extra $10.00 a day per person. That’s an extra 420.00 a week for a family of 6! This is going to prohibit us from renting our home to others and we will now be FORCED to rent through the resort. Shady business practices by a group of non locals. Support local businesses that aren’t going to charge you for every activity you participate in. This is a bad look Point Sebago Resort - Cove Communities. Disgusting!…
My whole family of 16 plus another twenty friends spent a week at Point Sebago. Everyone had a great time and many tee shirts won. Activities for all ages, lots of competition for kids and adults. Their entertainment at night was lots of fun for all ages to sing and dance with. We were a group consisting of ages 4-70. All of us reserved a spot for next year.
We rented using a Gas Saver Program ( 6 Weeks for 1 great price), We are on waiting list for Spring and Fall 2021 as well. WE got a discounted Golf Cart Rental for using the Gas Saver Program . Met great People , Had a great time .. We are now looking to buy a place... We were there for Halloween Weekend it was a great time.
This campground has an abundance of activities for kids. Everyone rents a golf cart to run around from place to place. The boat ramp at the marina needs some work, not much room or water depth for boats larger than 21’. Lots of sandy beaches to social distance on. The food is all fast food so bring your own if you want to eat healthy. This campground sits right on Sebago Lake, which has many species of fish to fish from. The accommodations could have been cleaner, not super happy with the cleanliness of the bathroom which is why I gave 4 stars.
Our 3-day stay at Point Sebago was wonderful. The cabins were very clean and well equipped. We stayed on the point right on the water. The staff was friendly and always smiling. The golf course was in great condition, employees at the course were always helpful. We will definitely make this a yearly visit. The cost was a great deal too. We can’t wait to return.
