The Castine Inn is truly a delightful place to stay. Located in the adorable town of Castine, ME, the location is perfect-a couple blocks from the water and right near the small town center. The people that run the Inn are unbelieveabley nice, welcoming, warm and accomodating. Our room was one of the cheaper ones with twin beds but still...

The Castine Inn is lovely. Our room (#11) and bathroom were spacious and very attractive. Hospitality was excellent. Castine is a less touristy, less crowded, more residential and a bit "out of the way" spot compared to most of the towns we visited on our coastal Maine vacation. The Castine Inn was a perfect place to stay. We highly recommend...

My husband I spent the last two days of our coastal Maine trip at the Castine Inn, in Castine, Me. It is a wonderful, old, relaxed hotel located within a short walk to the ocean. We found the staff warm and helpful especially Mary, at the front desk. The morning breakfast was delicious. It is a good location to travel...

The Castine Inn is extremely charming and beautiful, friendly and kind. Our room was impeccable, with a lovely view of the calm harbor; I slept incredibly. The best part about sleeping at the Castine Inn is knowing that you can wake up to, honestly, one of the best breakfasts I've had. Coffee, orange juice, scones, omelets, pancakes, fruit ... it...

My husband and I visited The Castine Inn for the second time this year (first time was in August 2006; we stayed for three nights both times) for our seventh wedding anniversary and loved it just as much as we did the first time. Our room (#3 both times) was comfortable and clean and had a view of the harbor....

About ten or 12 years ago we sailed into Castine, Maine on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Soaking wet, we went ashore in search of a warm meal. We happenend upon the Castine Inn. We were the only ones in the dining room as the weather was just horrid. We had a lovely meal and struck up a conversation with the...

PROS: Excellent location in town. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly staff. Roomy accommodations. CONS: No A/C in room meant a hot night (fans were provided however)

We enjoyed our stay at the Castine Inn. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and our room was nice. Coffee on the front porch and a stroll through the gardens are "must-dos" for anyone staying at the Inn. Request a room on the harbor side if possible. A fan is a necessity if your room...

My friend and I stayed at the Castine Inn while we visited the Blue Hill Peninsula and Deer Isle in Maine. We were lucky to get a room without booking it in advance and surprised at how reasonable the price was for the accomodations and location. While the Inn has only a partial view of the harbor, it is close...

Tom put together a 7 course tasting menu for us that equaled and exceeded the finest restaurants we've been to in New York City. Though we only spent one night at the inn, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The setting was perfect, and we had a wonderful time in Castine. Look forward to returning.
