Detailed Reviews
This place is nothing fancy but we dont spend much time in the hotel room, only for sleeping. The price was $65/night which is much cheaper than any other hotels I found. Use it as a base for day trips to Boothbay Harbor and other areas. I recommend the boat trip to Monhegan Island. During the summer the Main Eastern Railroad has train trips to Rockland. It stops in Wiscasset and is well worth the $, if only for the scenery.

Our room was tiny but clean and had all we needed--a small microwave, fridge and cable TV. Linens were fresh and crisp. Shower warmed up quickly. Heater for room was easy to operate and control. Owners friendly and helpful. Our room was set back from the highway, so was quieter than the rooms up front. We paid $35/nite.

Rooms are very clean. The family is very nice and willing to do anything to make your stay comfortable. Right off off route One and close to many areas. Busy traffic during the day and quite about 10 at night. Cheap clean stay which I stay there whenever I'm in town.

is there a 50 letter word for disgusting , if so apply it to this place , ok its $60 but for $60 you deserve a clean room with a proper door , nedless to say i did not inspect the room first if i did i would have rather slept in the car,

The only reason why we stayed here is because we could take our dog and the price was $54.00 for one night. The please needs to be condemned and rebuilt. The rug in the room was stained all over. Toilet was not clean. Terrible experience!

I have traveled coast to coast and most places in between, stayed at motel 6 and super 8. This is one of the worst places we have been. One of the problems with this dive is that there are two sets of rooms. The new ones are in the front. They may be OK though I doubt it. If however you stay in the back its nasty. We slept in our clothes and shoes. Scary place. Neighbors obviously live there. Smoke there. Party there etc. Door would not lock. Sheets dirty & dingy. Same décor as 1950. Be afraid of this place.

Late at night we stopped in at the Pioneer Motel. We inspected room before paying for the night. Room appeared to be clean carpet decent, bathroom clean. Once we got into room and removed the bedspread, yikes! stained sheets. Told the manager he removed and replaced the sheets. But he did say while replacing sheets, his wife trys to removed the stained sheets but can't change them out like the bigger hotels! Mattress was disgusting stained as well, and just not comfortable. Pillows, take a look at pictures I've included with cases removed. We ended up sleeping in our clothes, suitcases left in the car. We used our own blankets. My wife used a travel pillow and I rolled up a jacket for a pillow. Road traffic was quiet past 10pm, but picked up again at approx. 6am. Instead of upgrading fencing around inground pool, maybe they should invest in some new mattresses and pillows.

I stayed in Rm. 9 . I was there for 5 days. My room was spotless when I went in. The owner or one of his help came by everyday to bring fresh towels and clean up for me. I was very impressed. I have stayed here before. It was for me even better than the last time I stayed there. They were all very polite and helpful. When I come back and I will it will be here that I stay. Here are a couple photos of my room.

The only reason I am giving this motel a review of 1 is because I can't go any lower. My family and I booked a room for one week paying a little over $300. A single king bed that when you looked at it you could see the imprints from the last guests it was so worn. But that wasn't even the worst. My husband and son and I are allergic to cigarette smoke so we said we MUST have a non smoking room I made this VERY clear. Day one we were placed on the side of the building with all of the smokers due to "lack of vacancy" but yet there was another whole side of the hotel open and empty. Then day two I myself was chased by a dog that happened to bite another dog just the week before. Honestly I was prepared for a serious attack to keep the dog away from my infant son of only 3 months old. THEN I sewer... yes a sewer pipe that was carrying everyone's feces to the septic blew under neath our room. The toilets and showers were litterly backing up into our floor BUT COULD WE GET A NEW ROOM? NO! And the worst part is they tried to hide it from us. As if we wouldnt notice the smell when we got back.
I am so displeased with my stay I will NEVER go back. End of story!
