Unit # 15 was very clean and appeared to be recently painted. The kitchen was white, modern, with everything needed to cook. It was very clean and well organized as well. The living room had new carpeting and drapes. The furniture, however, is outdated and old , and not very clean, but comfortable. I wouldn’t sit on it but my husband was fine with it. The master queen bed was very comfortable. Linings and towels are of good quality as well. There are 2 full bathrooms and 1 half bath ( that is in the twin bedroom) The bathroom arrangements are a little strange in that the master bathroom shower is very small. Twin bedroom has the half bathroom, Downstairs full bathroom has a nice tub and full size shower. If you want a decent shower, you would have to go to the downstairs bathroom . Shouldn’t the half bath be downstairs and the 2nd full bathroom be in the twin room? Should be reversed. There is A large Jacuzzi that is separate from both bathrooms on the second floor. There is a deck off of the first floor to sit outside and enjoy the view of the woods. Also, there is a large indoor pool and Jacuzzi. There is a playground with slide & swings etc for children to play on. If you are looking for a modern designer decorated unit with all the bells and whistles of a five star resort, this resort is not for you. If you are looking for a typical Maine villa, that is comfortable and very clean but simple and very “down east”, then this will work for you. I would stay there again, except that I have to have a new couch!!

We got our unit thru Interval and were in townhouse #32. We were very comfortable and the unit was very clean. It is a older resort but kept up very nice. It had a sofa, chair, & a recliner, a coffee table, a table with 5 chairs. The kitchen was well stocked. There is a nice patio with 2 chairs and a table. The condo has the bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a large 2 sink bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds with a half bath. There is a full bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and a washer and dryer downstairs. This resort was convenient for all our scenic drives. We did the Blackwoods Byway, Schoodic Byway & Point, the Penobscot Narrow Bridge & Fort Knox, went to 3 wineries for tastings, gambled in Bangor, took the Ol’s Trolley Tour through Acadia National Park which included the summit of Cadillac Mountain, Thunderhole & Jordan’s Pond for $53 each, and we also picked apples at Johnson’s Apple Orchard. We ate lobster every day, and our favorites were Gateway Lunt’s Lobster Pound where the lobster dinner was $19.95. Their blueberry pie and ice cream was the best of our trip. Ruth & Wimpie’s had a lobster dinner for $17.95, and Union River Lobster was $19.95 for the lobster dinner and $30.00 for a lobster roll with 8 Oz of lobster. In our opinion, Union River had the best clam chowder, although we stopped at a little Deli in Bar Harbor and got a bowl to go for $7.95 and it was delicious. too. If we go to Bar Harbor again, we would not drive; parking took over an hour to find a place. We’d take the Island Explorer free bus that would have taken us from Ellsworth to Bar harbor for free. We could have taken it to Acadia National Park, too. We flew from Austin to Portland and drove 2 hours to our condo and stayed Saturday to Saturday, Oct 1-8, 2022. The weather was exceptional— a few cool days and then it warmed up to the 70’s during the day. It was a wonderful trip! Ivy in the office was very, very nice!!!!

We were traveling with six people so needed a special space. The Village booked us in a villa - two apartments connected by a center entry. The villas are out in a field and don't have much curb appeal. Other types of rentals appeared to be more plush. Anyway, it was just right for our needs. The units were clean, had essential kitchen supplies, and had well furnished bathrooms. A laundry was a boon. They are not fancy but adequate and not too high priced. The Village is a small resort and offers some amenities such as a pool, tennis, pickle ball, and other recreational opportunities. The staff was very helpful and check in was relaxed and easy. We were a late check in so our key was left taped to the door. The location of the resort is excellent. A block off the main street of Ellsworth, it is about 25 minutes from the Acadia park entrance. I would recommend this resort to any one with the appropriate expectations.

Rating this place with one star is generous. Do not waste your money or your timeshare trade like we did staying here. This place has not been updated probably since it opened. Rugs are all stained, the unit smelled like old smoke or worst. Furniture was old and stained. We booked a seven night stay using our time share as a trade to visit Acadia Park, we left after three days we could not take it any longer. We travel a lot, this place by far was the worst we have stayed at.

We booked room 60B. Our room was more like a run down motel room. Duct tape around the bathtub, cracked caulking around bathroom sink. No dishwasher. Towels were clean, bed linens (especially bedspread) didn't seem to be. Living room furniture also seemed dirty. Air conditioner only in living room. The location was ok- about 30 minutes from Acadia National Park /Bar Harbor. Although there wasn't a washer /dryer in the room, they were in the entry foyer which is shared with 60A.The town of Ellsworth is quite charming. There are townhouses also on the property- perhaps they are in better condition.

The good: great location to Desert Island & Acadia. Good bed, linens, and shower The bad: 90+° in August and no AC in bedroom. Musty smell, dirty furniture. Indoor pool reeks of chlorine and burns our eyes, so we took a pass on that. The ugly: decor from the 1970s, really really. Really needs updating. Drab, tired, depressing. 6 kinds of LED, and CFL bulbs makes the colors whacky. Interval International should be ashamed for listing this. We spent a year of points and a transfer fee for this. $1000+ ..no way ever again The staff was understanding and offered to move us, And we thanked them for that but really... Don't stay here

We have owned at Acadia village resort for twenty plus years. The resort is a older resort that doesn’t have all the glitz of a Disney type timeshare. The staff is always helpful with any concerns. Yes some things are older out of date. As a owner I don’t need a large screen tv. Updates. I need a clean place that doesn’t break the bank.

Only reason I gave even two stars is because the location is good for access to Acadia and the rest of the coast. But the place itself, nope. I have been staying at resorts via Interval for nearly 20 years, including other resorts in Maine and all over the US and Europe. This one was by far the worst one I’ve ever stayed in. We stayed in the Manor, 71A, April 23-30. No idea what the townhouses or villas are like. First, it was not very clean. During covid, I would think cleanliness would be prioritized. Sticky cup rings on the dining table, baseboards filthy, baseboard heaters filthy. Some of the kitchen utensils did not look like they’d been washed. We found candy wrappers on the floor and earring backs in the dresser drawer. Speaking of dresser drawers, half of them just fall out when you try to open them. Very awkward for my son, who was recovering from shoulder surgery and had only one useful arm. Second, the place needs a serious update. Furniture is very old, the chase lounge in the second bedroom was very stained. Dresser drawers not functional. Carpets look like they are 40 years old. Can’t even make out the pattern, and there was a big burn mark on the carpet of the master bedroom. It was just gross, who knows how clean they are? Also, swag curtains?? Really? Made the place look like a funeral parlor or an old folk’s home. And scuff marks all over the trim, some touch up painting would not be that hard, would it? We were very disappointed, as this unit did not feel at all cozy or relaxing. In fact, we hated being there and avoided spending time there as much as possible. Which is a shame, because part of staying in a place like this is having a space to just have day to chill and relax. We have stayed at other timeshares in Maine that were exactly that. This place was not that at all. It felt like a large version of a Motel 6, and I’ve stayed in nicer Motel 6s. I feel like the management just doesn't care enough to put an effort into this place. We loved this part of Maine and everything we did there. But coming back to this unit every evening was just depressing. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

I checked in on a Friday in mid-October 2020 and was given a unit in the Manor building. The unit was beautiful, two large bedrooms, two large bathrooms, full size kitchen, and beautiful large dining and living room. The larger of the bedrooms had a beautiful spa alcove with a deep jacuzzi tub. The service at check-in and check out was friendly, helpful and courteous. I was in unit 71A. It was immaculately clean and spacious. I have stayed in timeshare properties throughout the US and this is definitely in the top 3 for service, cleanliness, and comfortable spaciousness. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
