First visit to this location - hesitant after reading some reviews and don’t believe
Others stayed at the same place. Location was not difficult as some suggested. I was next to highway and heard no traffic as others suggested. Upon walking in it was obvious that the hotel had recently been renovated/ decorated including rooms and bathroom. Everything was spotless and staff were constantly seen checking on things and tidying up. Can’t remember when / if I have
Stayed at a hotel that was as clean as this -
It was consistent… not just public areas or rooms. Staff were extremely pleasant and professional and it was obvious I. Speaking with them that they take pride in what they do. I would recommend this and look forward to staying there again

The location is good for all points around the Freeport area. The roads are very busy around the hotel so keep that in mind. You can hear some traffic noise but it isnt something that would keep me fro mstaying there again. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant.

Great hotel in a good location. Not in the downtown part of Freeport but only a maximum 5 min drive.
Restaurants and some great breweries all within a 2 min drive.

We explored both central Maine and the coast from here.

People have complained about the noise from the interstate on one side and the highway on the other... I'm not sure you can really complain about this.. you surely know the location before booking! It's what google maps is for!

The hotel was spotless. It had obviously been very recently renovated and was by far the most modern of the 4 hotels we stayed in on our New England roadtrip. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

We LOVE the shower cubicle. Much nicer than a bath with a shower curtain.

Great stay and more than adequate breakfast too. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nicely equipped. We had a fridge and microwave, the linens are very clean and the bed very comfortable. The location is also quite good if you are flying into Portland and then continuing up US 1 to Bar Harbor etc. and don't want to stay in downtown. It is close enough to drive into downtown and Freeport--a very quaint town with a lot to see and do--is also really nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Great staff!

We are platinum IHG members and we have stayed at this hotel before. It really needs some updates! The vending machine for water was broken, the bathroom light was very dull, the shower head was broken and squirting water out of the shower. The drain in the shower was off when we arrived? The bed has a cover under the sheets that is like sleeping on a 2 years old waterproof accident cover(awful and hot)!! The room could have been cleaner and the staff at the front desk was not overly friendly on arrival. There were people running up and down the halls all night and construction starting at 8am on a Sunday morning?? If there going to do updates they should try to keep it by section and not rent rooms that are near where they are working. We won't be back until updates are complete and save yourself a legit headache and stay elsewhere.

We are so sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. It is clearly posted throughout the hotel and on all websites that we are under a full renovation and the crew works between 8am-5pm. We apologize the noise was an issues, however, we do have it posted everywhere. If you ever have an issues with the room it is best to tell the staff while on property so we can fix for you and the next guest arriving incase housekeeping misses it. Have a great Holiday and thank you for your feedback. We will be sure to share with our extremely hard working team.

We've stayed at airport hotels that are quieter. Upgraded to suite (sofa, table and chairs, fridge, no microwave ) -thank you. Gym and pool open, breakfast back to "normal" but less options. No covid safety measures in place in breakfast area. Generally clean but coffee machine in room was not attended to and had to ask for coffee and coffee cups at the desk. Clock in the room is impossible to set so left it unplugged like the other guests had left it. Restaurant options nearby include Thai, brewery (pizzas) and a BBQ. All within walking distance (5-7minites)

The hotel was in terms of the 2 queen bed rooms overview. We could have had a king bed room or two. We didn't want the latter and so we got... A tiny room that just about fit the king bed. Bathroom renovated with a shower instead of a bathtub. Refrigerator and coffee machine available. Lotion was only available upon request at reception - "oh yes, they don't have much of that at the moment so they don't have it in the rooms." Breakfast below average. Artificial scrambled eggs. Almost everything else was wrapped in plastic. There were nuts in the cereals though, but they weren't refilled. We paid $200!

The Good:
Our room was ready early and check-in was fast.
All of the staff we encountered were friendly and the breakfast was good.
The bed and pillows were comfortable.
Toiletries were well stocked in the bathroom.
Good location to visit shops and restaurants in Freeport.
Breakfast had a good selection and was restocked often.

The Bad:
LOUD traffic on the highway side. It kept me up most of the night and I'm not a light sleeper. The hotel should provide earplugs, white noise, or at least a warning about the noise.
The furniture in the room, other than the bed, was old and dingy.
The bathroom was in need of a facelift. No amount of cleaning can fix old stains on walls, tub, and floor.
The indoor pool is tiny. Great for one family at a time (maybe two.)

We stayed here three nights while visiting the east coast. The staff here were excellent and very accommodating, We only asked for fresh towels and they cleaned the room for us! Thank you!!! The room was very comfortable and had fridge and microwave. There is plenty of parking and while it is facing the highway, it wasn't that big of a deal. If you are a light sleeper, get an odd numbered room or turn on the fan. A few of our outlets did not work, but not a big deal either. The bathroom was decent, and stocked nicely with toiletries. The breakfast was very good and we had no issues on any day here either with that. The hotel is on the outskirts of town which we really liked, and very easy to get to all highways and shops. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Maine!

The hotel was very clean, the room was large, and the bed was very, very (!) comfortable (comfy duvet, feather pillows)! The downside is our room was on the 295 side of the building and it got very loud in the morning... it felt like trucks were going to barrel down the middle of our room. Warning to all - request a room on the Route 1 side of the building, I suspect it's much quieter!

Honestly we stayed there in October so it is hard for me to remember but I too do not like a hard bed (hip issues) & I recall being very comfortable the nights we stayed there. Slept very well. Hope this helps.

The pool is always between 80 and 85 degrees which is the standard. During the winter it can feel chilly getting in but again that is what most pools get set at! HOpe this helps.
