Jane and Alden run a top notch establishment. They are very down to earth and made me and my wife feel at home. The daily breakfast were delicious gourmet meals and professionally presented. They are very knowledgeable of the Freeport area and beyond and were very helpful in planning our daily activities. Assisting us to make the most of our...

We had only one night at Nicholson Inn and hope to go back. The owners Jane and Alden were fun, great hosts and very interested in us and our friends. This was our stop-over between Boston and Maine, Acadia area. We had good food, friendly discussions and lots of good advice for our next few day's adventure. It was walking...

Enjoyed staying in this Inn for a quick overnight! The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great! It is the place to stay when you want to be right in the middle of Freeport, just steps from LL Bean! The innkeepers were very nice and helpful! Will definitely return to this Inn!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nicholson Inn. The breakfasts were hearty and the location was ideal -- just a block from the Freeport outlet shops and restaurants. The hosts were very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations. It was fun to learn about their families' histories in Maine, too! I've given 4 rather than 5 stars because the...

This is your ideal b&b stay: warm, comfortable and clean house; friendly environment with hosts and other guests; and convenient walking distance to shops. Jane and Alden are the epitome of b&b hosts doing it the right way. Definitely stay here.

We booked all five rooms in this charming B&B for us and for several family members attending our daughter's wedding. The owners were so gracious and accommodating and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to help us as we prepared for the wedding. The bridesmaids came over to get ready and the wedding photographer used...

Stayed the last weekend in May, 2015. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the owners were reminiscent of the graciousness and charm long departed from our society. Jane greeted us as we drove in. Even their mascot, a "Lab Adore" named Nick greeted us with welcoming warmth and gentility. The inn is a well-preserved, well-appointed Victorian, with...

I look for three things in a B&B. First, it needs to make you feel like you are spending the night at grandma's house. This inn is nicely decorated, extremely clean, a little old fashioned and very homey. Check. Second, it needs to be in a nice little town that you can pretend is the place you live. Think Mayberry....

Very Clean and nice. Excellent walking location to LLBean. This was our first visit to the Nicholson Inn and it won't be out last. Our stay was like visiting with your favorite relatives. They gave us great information on our continued drive up the Maine coastline. It was just like having a personal tour guide. The generous breakfast was absolutely...

We just spent three wonderful days in Freeport and the Nicholson Inn. From the time we checked in until we left, Jane and Alden made us feel right at home. The Inn was everything we had hoped it would be. Very clean home, excellent breakfast, perfect location and gracious hosts. A wonderful first time B&B experience. Dave & Sharon Rhode...
