Lovely themed rooms - moose, bear, loon etc. Lovely grounds close to a great moose spotting area. The breakfasts are superb and the hosts Hank and Janice do their utmost to make visitors feel welcome. Everything is spotlessly clean. 10 minutes to the center of Greenville. The hosts are also happy to organise Moose Safaris for their guests which help... More

We stayed with Janice and Hank for 3 days. It was our first trip to the area and they were great hosts. The room was perfect for us. Clean and very comfortable. A very warm feeling to the entire stay. Janice was especially helpful in planning our daily itinerary. Each morning we had great conversations over breakfast. While not on... More

We visited the Evergreen Lodge in early September. This was our third time staying with Janice and Hank who are always gracious hosts. This visit was three days long. Janice and Hank remembered us from our last visits. The room (Deer Room) was wonderfully decorated and always very clean. The entire B&B building and grounds were in excellent condition. There... My husband and I just got back from a week's stay at this charming B&B. Our room (Loon Room) was beautifully appointed and as comfortable as being at home. Our room and the entire house were spotless, the grounds were lovely and meticulously maintained. The delighful breakfast room overlooks a wooded area complete with busy birdfeeder. Hank and Janice are... More

My husband and I stayed at the Evergreen Lodge as part of our honeymoon. After some amazing hospitality elsewhere in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, this was one of the low points. The room itself (Deer room) was fine - if rather too hot in the summer without any air conditioning. But the whole experience felt as though we were... More

After a long ride, we arrived early at 1:45pm. Check in was 3pm. The front door was locked and there was a sign saying "be back at 3pm". By the doorbell the sign read "ring for check in". So we rang the bell. An elderly man (Hank) answered saying rooms will be ready at 3pm. We were not invited in... More

We stayed earlier this year and feel obliged to give others the benefit of our time at Evergreen lodge. Our experience began with a frosty reception and didn't really improve. We had naively perhaps, imagined a cabin style accommodation but it actually felt much more like renting a room in a boarding house. The "lodge" is at least ten minutes drive from... More

My wife and I were looking for a unique experience for our 20th wedding anniversary and decided to try Moosehead Lake and the Evergreen Lodge. We booked the anniversary package at the Lodge which included a moose viewing canoe trip and a dinner at a local restaurant. We stayed at the Moose room which was spacious and included a nice... My husband and I were looking online at honeymoon packages in Maine when we came across this place. It looked beautiful online, next to the water, and advertised all of the things to do in the area; such as white water rafting, canoeing, wildlife tours on the lake, etc. Once we got lost in the Maine woods we finally came...
