Enjoyed a wonderful prime rib dinner after a day of hiking!!! Great evening!! Lots of souvenirs and a beautiful view from the dining room. Don’t miss the ice cream sandwiches in the freezer! Family favorite!

This was the third time staying at Kokadjo camps. We will be going back next year. The cabins are comfortable and they have updated furniture and appliances. Marie and Fred are there for anything you need. Did not want to leave!

We stopped at the trading post a year ago for a quick bite and fuel. Woman at the register seemed a little grumpy. Maybe just a bad day. Everybody has them so gave her benefit of the doubt We again stopped in this year February 2019 with 3 others. Woman at the register is just RUDE! My wife asked just a simple question if a trail that was closed (RT66) had been reopened. She replied "no" and says "how many other questions you have for me? Get them out now because I`m not going to answer anymore". This in front of a huge amount of other customers and spoken loudly so it could be heard. Being a paying customer that just dished out $46 for 11 gallons of gas. Yes $4.18 a gallon! I don`t care where your located and your costs to get it there. Ripoff! I`ll be sure to not stop here again.

BEDBUGS! Our first night in the cabin I’ve noticed a red spot on my leg, which was itchy, but I thought nothing of it. The next night I got 5 more itchy red bumps on my leg and that’s when I gotten a bad feeling about this place. I then searched the cabin for bedbugs and found signs of them on two of the mattresses in the loft. Although it was a small infestation it was still unsettling and we ended our family vacation at a laundry mat in Bangor to kill any bugs that might have hopped on our stuff. Also, the place didn’t come with a lock on the door. The cabin was also dusty and had an odd odor inside. The staff was just as concerning as the cabin though, the owner was rude and during check in she didn’t give us a key saying it’s a safe area and “if someone tries to steal something here we’ll shoot’em”. It’s just something you don’t want to hear when your in the middle of nowhere in Maine, especially if there is no service to call for help. Overall was highly disappointed and was expecting cleaner cabins for the price. I would strongly encourage people to not stay here.

We stayed in the Moose cabin for 3 days in October. The cabin was simple and clean with everything we needed to be comfortable including an updated kitchen with dishes, and pots/pans for cooking. The scenery was by far our favorite thing though...such a great view from the porch when drinking our morning coffee. It simply cannot be beat! We did not have cell phone service in this neck of the woods but wifi is provided with cabin rental so you don't have to be completely disconnected if you don't want to be. This place is one of our most favorite memories from our 10 day tour of Maine. Thanks Marie and Fred!
