The lodge is a perfect example of what great hotel keeping should be. We stayed in the Aligash room, which is in a separate block, just to the side of the main lodge. The room had everything you would expect of a top class establishment. But it was not a chain hotel room, it was room that reflected the area... More

White water rafting one day and then a morning cruise in the North Maine woods looking for moose. We loved it. Very romantic. We stayed in the Totem room, views were breathless. Breakfast was pretty good. Innkeepers were very friendly. We hiked Mt. Kineo, it was great! When I come back, I am staying here again.

The Innkeepers were very helpful with advice for things to do around the area and had lots of resources to help us plan for hikes etc. Our room was situated looking out towards the lake and even though the Lodge is right on the road, its rooms do not face the street and you can enjoy the view without hearing... Our first trip to Maine and we decided on a "Lake and Bay" trip to get an overview of Maine. The "Lake" part of the trip was spent at the Lodge and we had a great time! The scenery and setting were fantastic and we found Linda, Dennis and their staff to be excellent hosts. We were looking for relaxation... More

This is an excellent place for an overnight or multi day trip. Friendly family managed and very well appointed quiet rooms on a beautiful piece of land facing the lake. You will enjoy the customer friendly environment and the amenities. The katahdin suite was great with a porch and two fireplaces.

If you want a speedy check in, professional standards and heart healthy meals, this is not the place. It bills itself as a lodge because it serves dinner a few nights a week, but it's a b&b. That style doesn't fit me at all. I'm not looking for a relationship with the owners, I'm looking for my key and privacy.... More

This was our first time going in the summer, we have been to the Lodge multiple times in the winter. We stayed in the Baxter room with our golden who enjoyed homemade dog bones, his own bowls and playing on the enormous back lawn with the frisbee. Dennis and Linda were superb hosts, always attending to every detail of our... More

As always, it was a pleasure to have you back to the Lodge. We know your favorite is that Lobster Mac & Cheese but it was good to see you try the trout and enjoy it just as much. We hadn't met "Joe" before ( your Golden)..what a beautiful dog. He appeared to enjoy running in the yard and relaxing... More

We had a great visit here. The hotel is high on a hill with a great view. It's a very quiet location, with nice views, clean and in excellent condition. The breakfast meals were excellent. We found the bed to be a little uncomfortable / creaky loud (we normally have a memory foam mattress), so my wife and I slept... More

Our first impression of the Lodge on arrival was that it appeared more rustic than we thought it would be. However, once inside, the beautiful, creative, imaginative, comfortable and luxurious surroundings certainly had the "Wow!" factor for us. We had the Bear Room which has the best view I have experienced in my 14 road trips to the USA. With... More
