Response from Wendy Denney, Owner at Guilford Bed And Breakfast
Responded Dec. 23, 2020
I am sorry that you were inconvenienced due to the change in your plans. Bed and Breakfasts typically have a different cancellation policy compared to hotels because there is substantially less opportunity to recoup lost income due to cancellations. We post our cancellation policy on our Website, our Confirmation email and our Reminder email that we send out to those who book with us. This policy is fairly standard within our industry especially for small businesses in the more remote locations such as ours. We would love to offer free cancellations to everyone, but our business policies are in place not so we can make a huge profit, but for business sustainability reasons, so we can continue to offer personal service, delicious breakfasts, and comfortable lodging in an elegant setting for our much-valued guests.

Mike and Wendy were amazing hosts. Wendy makes a killer breakfast! The room was nice and what a beautiful house. Oh and if you love friendly baby dogs, Snickers is a lovely host as well. Thank you for having us. Hopefully we’ll be back this way again some day.

Cute Victorian. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days because his grandmother was unable to come up due to the Coronavirus, so she gave it to us despite us being from the area. Very friendly and a delicious breakfast.

Michael and Wendy made sure our group felt welcomed and comfortable. Our group was there for a funeral -- a sad and emotional time -- but being together in a homey environment made a difference. They offered lots of amenities so we could pack lights, and they responded to questions promptly. We also enjoyed the breakfasts -- delicious and not too heavy. We would definitely stay there again.

Due to unexpected passing of a dear friend, we were in need of lodging with very.littke notice. The Guilford B & B were Central to our location needs. My wife contacted the owners, explained our situation, and we and 4 other couples filled all of their rooms. Michael and Wendy couldn't have been more solicitous of our needs. They were more than sensitive to our plight, and accommodated us in any way possible. We are grateful to say the least. Their service, their conversation, their interest, their home, their food, all excellent. We can't recommend them highly.enough. Michael and Wendy, Thank you.
