We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on a trip up the coast of Maine. It was very reasonably priced in comparison to the other hotels in the area. Adding to the economy was the included buffet breakfast, which had a nice selection of food. We were, I think, upgraded to a room with a "shared balcony," which actually...

We stayed at the Colony for the first time this past summer. We booked the East House as unlike the main building, it does have air conditioning as well as a TV. The East House was immaculate as well as spacious, two queen size beds, large closet which contains a safe for cash and valuables (such a convenience) nice size...

We stayed at the colony hotel in July and I am just glad I got a room with air conditioning. It was unseasonably hot and even so the air conditioning didn't seem like it could keep up. The rooms are outdated although fairly comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of fresh fruit and pastries as well as...

Over Labor Day weekend no AC or tv in rooms. Bathroom is very outdated and hotel lobby could use a face lift. Breakfast was a buffet and above average. But the humidity was a killer and really took a toil trying to sleep. Found out after checking in that the annex across the street had AC and TVs but none...

I have been going to the Colony for years with my family. Now, we are on our third generation. It's a terrific place to capture that feeling of old time Maine. My 14 year old nephew enjoyed the heated salt water pool, shuffle board and the putting green. A brisk morning walk along Ocean Ave. in the early morning cannot...

We are very happy about our stay there, my golden retriever got to roam the property, we hung out with other dogs/ people on the deck overlooking the ocean, had buffet breakfast in the gazebo and tried their Friday night lobster buffet. There was no issues with slow replenishment of breakfast buffet as someone else mentioned, the 8 o' clock...

What a wonderful experience. Excellent service and amenities. Buffet breakfast included in our package was high quality and well presented. Stayed in the recently refurbished East House. Incredible ocean views. 3 nights did not seem enough to enjoy the pool and lovely Kennebunkport area.

We have been going to KPT for forty years and have never stay at the Colony. We imagined it as stuffy and overpriced. We were pleasantly surprised to find their garden rooms very reasonable priced. So we booked and boy, were we surprised. It is a beautiful location, great views, with easy access. We found the lobby and porches great...

The Colony Hotel is one of the original 'Grand Dame' hotels from the last century. As you enter the incredible lobby you see beautiful woodwork and appointments from another time. Our room was very spacious and had two windows which made it airy and comfortable. We didn't miss AC or TV as we watched the sunset over the ocean while...
