Enjoyed our stay here as a family of 4. The decor is a little tired but it was perfectly clean and comfortable with clean bedding and towels and comfy beds. My kids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and we had a nice meal at the restaurant. Breakfast was nice too, with fresh fruit on offer.

The dripping water from the gym ceiling was a little off putting, but it was still usable. Parking near our room was easy and, although our room overlooked the pool, it wasn’t too noisy after 10pm.

I have stayed in worse but still it was just ok.
We arrived to find a paper towel or some type of wipe covered in dirt floating in our toilet. The heating system does not work so the room was cold during our stay. It smelled super musty when we first walked in the room after check in.
Not sure why the hotel would “chemically treat” the outdoor pool on a Saturday, basically, the last day that the large group of guests were staying and not “treat” the pool on Sunday when everyone was checking out and NOT using the pool. Also, some Kennebunkport residents came to use the outdoor pool only to find the sign on the fence that the pool was not available.
There is an outdoor pool and hot tub, indoor pool and hot tub, covered pavilion, fire pit, exercise room and a limited continental breakfast area which was a nice added bonus which sort of made the crappy room not seem so bad. The mattress in our room was actually comfortable too.

Upon check in everything looked very nice. We checked out the indoor pool and hot tub the were ok could use some updating you could tell it was very old. The room was nothing special again dated needs a good upgrade!! In the shower there is a line to hang your wet bathing suit, I thought that was a neat feature I never seen it anywhere else. The beds need to be replaced you can feel the springs in them. I like the fact you have two doors one goes out to the patio we were on the bottom floor , the other is your main door in hotel. The grounds need some sprucing up! The out side pool was very nice. The out door hot tub was big but falling apart need updating. I though it was so neat the have a bar where you can just sit have some drinks and order food if your hungry!! First time seeing that! I like that a lot! All in all is really just needs a major upgrade!!! The worst part was it was really out of the way, to far to walk to town. I have been coming to this area for 25 years so this is not my first time in the area.
One more thing the breakfast was ok and the coffee was good!

We stayed at this motel with our extended family for a wedding weekend. Our family had a total of seven rooms, and they were all about the dirtiest and most unkempt rooms we've ever experienced. There were mold and rust on the ceilings and walls, cobwebs with active spiders, peeling wallpaper, dirt in the corners, broken locks and broken chairs. The beds were like rocks. The indoor pool area was full of rust, rotting wood, and mold along the baseboards, and we questioned getting into the water. (We did swim and were ok afterwards.) The fitness room had broken equipment and a leaky ceiling and was unusable. There was a broken window on the ground floor. The outside of the buildings had vines growing all over, permanent Christmas lights, and trees growing out of the gutters. There was a random shoe on the roof over a door. We asked for housekeeping, did not receive it, and when I called to request it again, I was told that there was nobody there that could clean the room. The pictures shown online must be at least 20 years old. The people in our group that planned to stay 3 nights left after 2 nights. The breakfast was mediocre - the coffee and fruit ran out and took a while to be replenished. Overall, this was the worst motel I have ever stayed in. I have never written a review before, but I want to warn others to avoid this hotel at all costs. There is a reason it is so cheap compared to others in the area.

We chose Rhumb Line on line based on its location and written description. We were sorry immediately. We arrived late after a full day of flying and right away couldn’t locate the office. No signage and poor lighting. After parking and walking in unmarked doors we were met by a less than friendly greeting and were asked for our credit card to pay for our stay in full. When asked if the receptionist could recommend a place for dinner she told us “nothing” was open but we could call for pizza delivery.
The place is old and run down, in desperate need of more than just TLC. Our room was a king with balcony and it was very old and small. The bathroom is terribly outdated. The grounds are not maintained and the whole place looks uncared for.
Breakfast was poor, with bulk pre-packaged items, no fruit, and minimal selection. We did eat in the poolside cafe/bar a few nights and food was good. Bar servers were unfriendly and made a point of letting us know if we charged the bill to our room they only got a small tip that was added to the charges. We were never given a written receipt of the drinks and food we purchased and had to reconcile with the office each day.
Seems as if no one here really cares about the property or the guests. Everyone and everything seems tired and worn out.

We found the place nice and cozy. Staff were nice from the start to finish. Yes the place is "old" but it is very clean and well priced. They accommodated us because they lost power, which I think was very nice and some places wouldn't have cared. The pool and hot tub was nice inside, outside hot tub was nice as well. Didn't use pool outside due to winter lol. Breakfast was good, small but very filling. Coffee was even good. The only thing I'd change is charging by person by the day for housekeeping if you don't use it every day because some won't leave a tip at 1.50 per adult per day. I would stay here again mad have family and friends stay too. Customer service was amazing.

Absolutely terrible. We booked a non-pool view room in this “resort” for a 3 night stay but had to check out after the first night. Our vacation was ruined and we are going home as nothing else is available in the area. Pictures posted on booking websites are deceiving, the “resort” is in bad shape. Spider web and mold in the room, old broken furniture, filthy bathroom, dirty indoor pool, non-working wi-fi. Not even able to get a hot spot in the room. Oh, and a single lonely plastic chair outside so two people cannot sit outside at the same time… how much does it cost to get plastic furniture?!

Do not stay here if you want quiet. Pool view rooms can hear every noise at the pool or hot tub. Kids running up and down the halls until 10pm.

Indoor pool area needs a lot of work. Inside Pool edge was gross like it haven’t been cleaned in a long time and water was cloudy.

There are many other places to stay. Beware.

Really wanted to like the place but after 3 days and 2 nights I simply couldn’t. Started when walking into room 121 and it smelled really musty, carpet smelt bad and needed cleaning. Furnishings were outdated and the mattresses were so old & uncomfortable that sleep was impossible. Shower was moldy and coffee maker hadn’t been cleaned. The worst part was having no control of the outdated thermostat which stayed at a stifling 78° even when we tried to shut it off, the temp did not go down. The Wifi wouldn’t work for any of us and more often than not we got no service and at best one bar. Honestly everywhere you looked the place was falling apart due to neglect. At $238 per night, one would expect a decent place for the weekend; the fact that this place is still open is outrageous! Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Our family just stayed at this resort for my sons wedding. Despite the negative reviews on this property our rooms were clean and comfortable. If your looking for a new motel with bells and whistles this is not the motel for you. The price on our rooms for this area were very reasonable. They offered a continental breakfast with a great variety.
We had a Lobster bake rehearsal dinner there. Melody the general manager could not have been nicer or more helpful with the coordination of the dinner and our stay. Everything was delicious! The staff serving our group were fantastic! It was such a nice start to the wedding weekend.
They have a pool and hot tub outside and a pool and hot tub inside as well. I can not comment on the inside pools as we did not use them. But fully enjoyed the outside pool and hot tub.
Thank you Melody for everything
We are very grateful

There is a stream out back you can wash your clothes in. Not like the ‘fancy spa hotels ‘ but it works
