Catering to couples, captivatingly cozy, and quintessentially coastal, this magical enclave of 16 petite cottages is a departure from traditional inns, Bed and Breakfasts, and hotels in Kennebunkport, Maine. Our whimsically intimate accommodations offer the perfect seasonal getaway and are open May through October. Perhaps Renovation Style magazine summed up The Cottages at Cabot Cove best - "decorated little houses with patios and lush landscaping, clustered next to Cabot Cove, one of Maine's most beautiful saltwater settings."

Management was so friendly, always greeting with a friendly message. Even in this covid ridden time, everything was well thought out and well executed (masks and sanitizer for us in the room, check in via online or texting for housekeeping needs). Breakfast was wonderful each morning- so fresh and the juices were delicious. The room was impeccably clean! The arrival and departure gifts were a wonderful sweet touch! The property was beautiful. I could go on and on! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back.

My wife and I returned to the Cottages at Cabot Cove for yet another exceptional get away! We felt so safe at Cottages from the contactless check in to all the procedures they have in place during COVID to make sure both their guests and their staff stays safe! As always, rooms were impeccably clean and staff is still welcoming even through contactless check in- you still felt greatly attended to even through the social distancing. We arrived to a sweet welcome back note in our cottage from the manager Karin! It really is the special touches that makes this place extraordinary! Breakfast delivered in a cooler tote every morning and left on the hook outside your door was a perfect combination of fresh fruit, juice and a pastry. Our cottage during this stay was Sea Worthy cottage.

The Cottages are a great escape! We were looking for a private space, didn't want to be in a large hotel building - this was perfect. Concierge services were coordinated via text, laundry was a no-contact service, and there was plenty of space to have no interactions with people.

We stayed in the Sunset Cottage - really cute cottage! We wanted a king size bed so this fit the bill. The bathroom is a bit small but otherwise the size of the cottage is perfectly fine for a short getaway. We enjoyed walking to town and taking a short drive to Goose Rocks Beach.

My only negative is about the breakfast. It is a very small, lite breakfast. I think it would be great to select what you prefer for breakfast so that food doesn't go to waste. But it is a really cute breakfast left outside each day, and we enjoyed the care that was put into it.

Karin was extremely helpful! She helped with beach and restaurant recommendations. Provided beach towels and an umbrella. Karin even checked in on our plans each day to make sure we were enjoying our trip! I loved the personal care even if mostly via text!

My husband and I just returned to New Jersey after a wonderful 5 day stay in The Trellis at the Cottages at Cabot Cove in lovely Kennebunkport Maine. We’ve never stayed in a cottage before and weren’t sure what to expect, well we were very happy when we stepped inside and saw how a little house could hold every amenity one would need to be comfortable. There was a fully equipped little kitchen including a dishwasher and garbage disposal. Surprising amount of storage space and 2 flat screen TVs with every possible channel, each morning a lovely continental breakfast (actual food and not store bought donuts or dry danishes) was left at your door. A snack was left in the afternoon as if by elves! Housekeeping was exceptional and the ladies made sure you were always well stocked with your soaps, towels etc. you had your choice of in-house cleaning or leaving your used towels in bags left outside. Heidi checked us in and couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. The biggest surprise awaited us on the day we left, a bag was on our car containing water, snacks and a beautiful print of a cottage on the lake to remember our stay! This location is only a 10 minute walk into the center of town and we took full advantage! This is our second visit to Kennebunkport and I’m already missing it! Many many thanks to everyone at Cottages at Cabot Cove!

Wonderful location for a quiet get away in the heart of Kbpt. Walking distance to town, ocean drive and several restaurants. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Updated housekeeping protocols and social distancing for COVID-19 made us feel very comfortable staying here. A little pricey; but, worth the expense for a quiet getaway!

My husband and I travel regularly. After sheltering in place since March, we were looking for a little weekend retreat.

The cottages were perfect! The staff communicated by text, but still found ways to be warm and welcoming. All supplies and comforts (fluffy towels, snacks, breakfast, etc.) were delivered and lovingly placed on a hook outside the door.

In addition to the well appointed cottages, there is a fire pit as well as bikes, lawn chairs, and kayaks for guests. We made use of the kayaks and explored the cove and little beaches beyond. There were birds, fish, and small crabs. The water was cool and refreshing.

The center of town is within an easy half mile walk. The lobster pounds were very reasonable. Found hard shell chicken lobsters for $5.50 a lb. Shops are open and eager for business. Restaurants have found creative ways to safely serve guests. Many have outdoor seating, which is the best way to enjoy the warm sun and cool sea breezes.

We had big trips planned for 2020, but have instead found safety, joy, and comfort in beautiful Kennebunkport. We hope to return there soon.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Cottages. The grounds are lovely and our cottage was very comfortable and cozy (modern farmhouse vibe). We spent many hours relaxing on the grounds or in our cabin, and lazily rowed our way around the lake in one of the complimentary rowboats (kayaks and bicycles are also available). We looked forward to the breakfast basket in the mornings - very tasty! Karin was an excellent host and very responsive to our needs and questions. She is very knowledgeable about the area and will point you in the right direction. The facility has done a good job of responding to the pandemic and we felt very safe an comfortable. We have been to Kennebunkport before but this was our first stay at the cabins - we will be back!

We spent a lovely two nights in the Harbor Cottage. It was very pretty and well air-conditioned (so important in the increasingly hot summers), and beyond thoughtful. Truly: The Cottages anticipate every need of guests to the area. There are complimentary beach chairs, towels, beach bags and umbrellas, which made visits to my favorite Goose Rocks and Scarborough beaches so much easier. The complimentary bikes are comfortable cruisers that can be taken to town easily (driving to the downtown is ill-advised b/c it's so congested during peak months), and you can park them anywhere, they don't require locks. The breakfasts were such a wonderful daily surprise, and one time we came home to fresh-baked cookies. The living room is so cozy that one night we chose not to eat out at the (rather touristy) restaurants and just dine in with our own food and wine.

The Harbor Cottage probably has the most private outdoor area because it is at the end of the path and while the loungers on the lawn are technically for communal use, we did not find anybody except geese using them.

Sensitive, restless sleepers like myself might have a little trouble with the bed. It's a queen, which I sleep in at home, but it's soft and sort of bouncy/responsive to tossing and turning. One night my husband went to sleep on the couch, and the following night I did, simply to not disturb the other. But it was not uncomfortable. I'm just a bad sleeper and prefer firmer mattresses.

Overall, it was a blissful stay, and the perfect compromise between a hotel and a big rental house, great for a couple. I would definitely stay here again and maybe opt for a King room.

These small cottages are furnished with an upscale decor and with comfort in mind. And what was apparent from the start was personal and friendly attention provided by the staff thru Texting. In addition there were daily breakfasts and afternoon snacks that were welcome and delicious. The location is close to the town of Kennebunkport but quiet and serene. We will definitely return.

Cabot Cove provided a wonderful experience from the very beginning. Due to its popularity (definitely deserved!), we initially had trouble getting a room for our dates. Karin (who runs the show extremely well) put us on the waitlist. I was skeptical that anything would come through, but she called me just a few hours later with a cancellation, and she was then able to switch a few things around to accommodate us! Our arrival was seamless, socially distant yet welcoming check-in, complete with recommendations for our visit. The room was very small, but absolutely immaculate. Given the times, we did some wiping ourselves, but there was not one speck of dirt anywhere. The location was perfect, just far enough away from the hubbub of town, but an easy and very pleasant 10-15 minute walk to either the town or the beach.

Hi Holidayhelen61! We close on Sunday, October 28th this year. October weather is beautiful and the fall foliage is stunning. Can be on the cooler side (low 60s during the day; low 50s at night), so definitely bring a light jacket for evenings spent on your porch.

It depends on the cottage. The cottages are really small and the bathroom will be really close to your bed. In our cottage, it was literally two feet from the bed and only had room for one person at a time, and barely at that. It was nicely appointed - just not big and luxurious. The cottages are really cute, very well done. But tiny. Think “big bunkie” (cottage term, not sure how universal it is).
