We were very lucky to receive this stay as a gift from our daughter and son-in-law. This whole experience was exceptional, everyone we dealt with was so personable and sweet. Our suite was very inviting, the decor was beautiful. We had a bed nestled in a circle of windows, a seating area with a lovely fireplace and perfect furnishings. Stained...

These guests stayed in my favorite room, even though I believe all of our rooms are gorgeous. This room #12, in the main house features stained glass in the bathroom, crystal windows in the bedroom and the living room, inlayed wood floors and several original Edison brass chandeliers. Despite the antiques this room has been beautifully maintained and is inviting...

This lovely inn is easy to get to and within walking distance to town. We loved the architecture and the attention to detail. Our suite was wonderful - a gas fireplace in the sitting room. Beautiful bathroom with rain head and jets. We arrived at afternoon tea and were able to speak with one of the owners. Breakfast was gourmet....

This is a lovely inn centrally located in Kennebunkport. Everything seems to be done with luxury in mind from the plush towels, to the in-room Keurig coffeemaker, to the fruit and cheese tray upon arrival. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was gourmet. The only negatives, and the reason for not awarding another star, are that the...

One of the most important roles of an innkeeper is often overlooked - maintaining and preserving this beautiful, historic home for future generations, and with that comes embracing the quirks of a 150+ year old home. Because every room or suite is very different, we make certain to accurately represent each space, including the quirky things! In Captain Walker's Suite,...

Fantastic place! Gorgeous room with two person whirlpool tub, heated tile floors, gas fireplace, close to everything, room service breakfast. Great romantic getaway. All the little touches too were impressive. I want the recipe for the sugar cookies with cream centers!

A different kind of place to stay in Kennebunkport. Fine old Historical main house. Wonderful cottages with gas fireplaces and jacuzzis. Very comfortable with modern amenities and traditional style. Excellent breakfasts. Coffee and tea available any time. Friendly and helpful innkeepers and staff create a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

My husband and I just came back from a great weekend at the Maine Stay Inn. It was the off-season, and so a very quiet and peaceful time of year in Kennebunkport - and the Inn was a perfect base for a relaxing few days. We stayed in one of the cottages, which had a fireplace and a jetted tub,...

We stayed in room 16 that is classified as a suite. Plenty of space and greeted with cheese, crackers, and cookies. The room itself provides plenty of space and comfort. If you have mobility issue I would suggest a cottage on the property or a first-floor room. The room contained a shower stall and not a bath. The sink is...

I truly appreciate this detailed review. This guest obviously carefully studied the staff, their room, the common areas, and the town. The sink being outside the bedroom is a more common set-up in Europe, however we find with a tiny bathroom it is a good use of space. One guest can take a shower and the other can shave and...

The Inn is a charming New England home with warmth and attention to detail. The bedrooms are warm, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast menu changes daily with great flavors and conversation. I'm a happy return guest planning my next trip.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I wish you had stayed in a room with a large bathroom, then your stay would have been perfect. We do have several units with tiny baths and several with very deluxe baths. When you are able to return, call us for help in selecting the perfect room for you. Thanks again...
