We spent a bizarre weekend at this hotel. First of all this could be a great hotel but unfortunately the place is run down. Our room was very out dated, carpets old and dirty, bathroom tiny and mold ridden. Queen beds are really doubles. Heat...More
First of all, if you are expecting a grand hotel, this is not it in terms of 21st century Grand. This is a step back in time to a Grand Hotel of the early 1900's which is really lovely. Staying here means gviing up many...More

This is an old hotel that shows it's age, both good and bad. Wonderful woodwork details, large comfortable lobby, wide stairway and antiques scattered around the hallways. It's age shows in the bathrooms, carpeting, some of the furniture and a lack of amenities. We've stayed there to ski Sugarloaf, only when other lodging is unavailable. It's okay for a few nights. The prices reflect that.
If you're looking for plush luxury accommodations for cheapo prices, you're going to be constantly disappointed.
