Detailed Reviews
We go up there every year and stay in one of the cabins when the Moxie Festival is going on in Lisbon. These cabins are like the ones I stayed in when I was a kid in the 50s, but with good wifi, microwave, and a fridge. It's hot in July and the cabins have no AC. We bring two window fans and they do the trick. The couple that run the place keep improving the cabins and the grounds. Can't wait to get up there again this July. It's a tradition now.

Room Tip:Â We like the last cabin on the right. We get it every year. It's the farthest away from the road.

This was a total surprise. This is an older motel, but the my was great. It was very clean and updated. The bathroom was one of the cleanest and nicest that I have encountered. Travis, the owner is wonderful and helpful human being. I will definitely be returning.

We made the mistake of traveling in Maine on Columbus Day weekend without a reservation. The leaf peepers were out in force and we were ready to turn around and go home when we called this place. Thanks to a booking mishap, a cabin with two beds was available. The circa-1926 cabin was very clean and well maintained, and the rate was very reasonable. Travis, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. We were delighted. There are two fire pits. One was already in use, and Travis offered to start a fire in the second one for us. We didn't take her up on the offer b/c it was late and starting to rain, but what a wonderful welcome. Although we only stayed one night, it was a bright spot on an already-wonderful trip. I would love to go again and stay longer. Loved it.

I liked this place. The proprietor was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfy and a decent price. I think some of the rooms are taken by people who stay for longer term. A couple of them were siting outside on the porch and they were very nice. I would stay here again.
All the rooms are different. She let me look at a couple of them and pick the one I wanted. The ones I saw were all nice.
Internet access was a wired connection for no additional charge. Very good!!

I have no idea where Ariel L stayed but this place was awful! My husband and I chose this place at first because we though it was in fact going to be "a diamond in the rough". That was not the case at all. Save yourself time, money, and frustration and DO NOT go here. We were shown to our cabin, which was literally the size of a garden shed, with just enough room for a bed. Ok, thats fine we though... manageable. When we got inside we were literally hit with cigarette smell so bad as if 10 smokers had recently had their cigarette break inside this place everyday since the time was built (probably 50 years ago). Ok... so not looking great... We had traveled three hours so I really had to use the bathroom. I got in there... cement floor, where I noted I would have to wear shoes in, otherwise I would likely develop some sort of foot fungus only to discover there was NO toilet paper...anywhere...Well for $75 a night I think I am entitled to some toilet paper. Do yourself a favor, there are plenty of hotels in lewiston for this price. In fact we left and stayed a motel 6 in lewiston for $60, and it was CLEAN, did not reek of cigarettes, it had plenty of toilet tissue, and I was not worried about taking my shoes off, not to mention we had room to walk around the bed.

We stayed here because it was more personal than the big chain hotels and it was significantly cheaper. All we wanted was a bed to sleep in while visiting our son at Bates. And this was totally fine for that.

The Maine Motel and Cabins is an older facility, but our room was very clean, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Our stay was very comfortable. The next time we are in Maine, we will stay at the Maine Motel and Cabin’s.
