Entering the room, I felt like I was stepping back in time, but with the convenience of wifi (which was much appreciated as my personal cell phone couldn't establish a connection). The room was cozy - with a one-cup coffee maker, fridge (with 2 complementary bottles of water) and a microwave. It's located on route 1 - and I imagine...

I booked a room during a blizzard so that I could sleep between shifts at my job. We got about 3 feet of snow with very heavy winds which resulted in massive snow drifts. I could hear a snow blower running outside during the day while I slept. To my pleasant surprise, when I had to pack up my vehicle...

My young Labrador retriever, Little Jimmy Dickens, and I just spent 4 wonderful days in Washington County, setting up headquarters at the Bluebird Motel. The entire staff was just terrific and our room was spotless, warm, and very comfortable. Most memorable was the shower! If you like water pressure like most working people do, you will LOVE the showers at...

This motel easily meets the minimum standards of clean, friendly staff, great room for the money, but it is so much more. It is designed for travelers like us. It has good wifi and even has an ether net cable at the desk. The desk is not cluttered and set up to work at with a high back leather executive...

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room spotless, beds very comfortable and there was a Mitsubishi heater/cooler unit that was almost silent. We were in the back, near a field away from the road that the dogs enjoyed, nice and clean. The diner next door was outstanding. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed.

Have stayed here multiple times during three different seasons. Rooms are always spotless. Very comfy bed with super pillows! Staff is attentive, warm and local so they know all about the area. Always enjoy my stay.

I'm always suspect staying at a motel, but I've stayed here a handful of times now and I have to say it's the best motel I've ever stayed at! Very clean and quiet, the rooms are very nice. Complimentary bottled water in the fridge is a great touch! They're also very accommodating in terms of late check-out or late check-in....

We were very happy with our stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, beds are very comfortable, loads of channels to watch and the refrigerator and microwave was a big plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Wasn't sure what to expect. Doesn't look fancy, but the owners pay great attention to detail. Room was spotless, appliances were all modern, and staff was very helpful. Not sure I could have found a better deal for the price. Highly recommended!

We were in the Machias area to do some hiking. We were going to camp, but in mid October we were concerned about the threat of rain at night and it being a bit cold. I was worried about staying at a "Route 1 Motel" but every preconceived notion I had about what the Bluebird Motel might have been went...
