We found this location by accident. We had gone from campground to campground as most were sandwiched in like sardines. We found Abnaki allowed us a little more space than most. Agree the facilities aren't what they could be, but that did not effect how we felt about the stay, Al and the lake. Al was by far the most...

I Love the lake! If you have a boat and want to be near the skowhegan area then this is the best you will get due to the only other spot is a pool or river. But beach is rarely cleaned , not family friendly, everything is a mess bathroom nasty . Owner never does what he says he will....

Camped here for 40 plus years and when Albert took over he ruined the place! Does not do as promised, facilities are gross, weeds and trash everywhere, beach a mess and electricity unreliable. Have to watch your belongings as they might go missing and do not eat the food made there! Nothing good can be said about this place as...

My husband and I recently visited with our 2 boys and Fresh Air boys. All of which were under the age of 8. While the campground isn't the resort that some campgrounds are these, it's definitely a great little place on the water, to take your family. I can't disagree with some other reviews...the bathrooms/showers weren't perfect but that didn't...

I've been going to Abnaki Campground for over thirty years. My parents used to take us as kids and now we take ours as often as we can. Love this place! It's beautiful, friendly, tons of wildlife and things to do. All sites are nice, there's beach front, community spots, places tucked in for privacy...two public bathrooms with showers, game...

Mid May we gave the owner $250 as a deposit for a certain site for the month of June. We noticed that the site didn't have electric or water hooked up to it. He told us that it would be hooked up by June and happily took the deposit.. First Friday of June 2013 we pulled in with the camper...

Im not sure where Sharon G was staying but it most certainly was not the Abnaki campground that I know and used to love. My family has been going there since I was a baby 38 years of experience here. We have a seasonal site on the beach and we do not have a 30 amp service, It is my...

My family has stayed in this campground for 30 plus years. for several years the manager being a younger son did a good job but then he went bad. Not sure why. For about the 6 to 7 years he did not keep up and let things run down. A older brother took the campground back over last year and...

“All sites are nice, there's beach front, community spots, places tucked in for privacy...two public bathrooms with showers, game room, store etc. The store only has the basics, other than ordered food, so bring your meats, milks, etc with you (after all it is camping people!!!) And bring quarters for your kids for the arcades, the owners a busy mans and runs it by himself mostly and we all know how impatient kids can be when they need change for the arcade lol.”
