Full disclosure, this was our 4th stop after 3 very nice B&B’s on the coast. Everyone was super nice. We were here to stay before hiking in Baxter. We cut our stay from 2 to 1 day, and the staff was very helpful and didn’t charge any fees. That being said, the place was creepy, like we stepped back in... More

We did not want to pay 230 dollars for a cabin in the woods so we ended up in Millinocket at the Kathadin Inn and Suites. The hotel looks like a bunker and we have never seen a indoor pool in the lobby (which is huge!) but our room had everything we needed, including a fridge and a micro-wave, coffee... More

From the outside the Katahdin Inn and Suites doesn't look extremely inviting. It's rather bland. And very hard to find behind the Tractor Supply store. But open the doors and WOW! The lobby was extreme! A pool, pool tables, Jacuzzi, pin balls machines and a cozy wood stove met us as soon as we opened the door. I suspect that... More

We picked a simple place in Millinocket so we could spend most of our time exploring Baxter State Park. The Katahdin Inn met our needs. The folks who run it are warm and gracious. We felt cared for. Glad to have the small fridge and microwave for restaurant leftovers and road trip staples.

The only thing that was uglier than the outside of this 'inn' was the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the workers/owners inside. Keep looking....there are much better choices in the area. We found empty beer bottles in our 'clean room' and then were harassed by the owners when we complained

This nightmare started when we realised this hotel didn't even have a drive way, it's located behind shops and has a rough path to it. There were people milling around outside, it just looked untidy. when you walk into the lobby you are greater by what looks like a 1980s ymca. The ceiling is missing a lot of panels and... More

The room was spacious and included a desk, couch, coffee table, mini fridge, and microwave. The furniture was in good condition, the room was clean, and the bathroom looked recently renovated. The coin-operated washer/dryer worked well and were nice to have on-site. The owners who work at the front desk are very friendly. The location is great if you plan... More

There are no "chain" motels in Millinocket. Baxter State Park is by definition a rustic State Park that attracts a "no frills" type of traveler. The hotel is located behind the Rite Aid Pharmacy, which means you can't see it from the road. It also looks more like an office building than a hotel. (Our GPS took us to the... More

We checked in here as a last resort because we thought we were too late to get in touch with Dennis at Parks Edge Inn. The lobby is disgusting and the ceiling looks like it's going to fall in. We paid, walked to our room, tried to ignore the smell of stale cigarettes and mildew, realized we couldn't connect to... More

After staying one night in a cheaper hotel, I decided to go to Katadhin Inn instead. The rooms appear to have been renovated recently so things appear newer. We just finished hiking mount Katadhin and was a great place to recover. The indoor pool and indoor hot tub was a great feature to relax. It came with a mini fridge,... More
