We had site #27 which was not huge but was in a good location. We had about a 3-4 minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach, the water was crystal clear. They also have a boat launch ramp and docks. They even have sites with their own boat dock. There's no sewer hook up but they do have a pump-out service ($10-15). There's also a dump station. We had a good week-long stay and there was lots to do in the area.
Nice sites, friendly and helpful owners. Enjoyed the wildlife, scenery, and quietness of the area. Close to many touristy areas. Hookups were easy. One drawback was not having a sewer hookup for our camper, but they do offer a service to empty your tanks at your site.
First I will say that the people who work at this campground are very nice. This campground has a lot of potential with a little TLC. The scrap garbage in the dumpster area was a huge eyesore when you come into the park. We were put in a field across from storage campers. Wouldn't have been so bad if they would just cut all the weeds around the old campers that are just sitting there. Also, there was a huge pile of firewood and cinder blocks that was another eye sore. I felt a week was far too long to stay in this area, unless you are big on boating and kayaking. Took a day trip to Portland and found a drive in movie just up the road. Tuesday night is retro night and they play older movies. We had a lot of fun there. I would not return to this park.
We loved our BEAUTFUL site on Long Lake in Naples, ME. Our campsite had electric & water & its own dock. This enabled us to tie up our kayaks each day after an extensive paddle. A swimming area, kayak rentals, & boat ramp were also made available. The owners of this campground were friendly & accommodating. There was a dump station near the office, but a honey wagon service was also provided for a small fee. The bathhouse was close by & provided hot water showers (25 cents for every 5 minutes). We loved the beauty of this campground & would love to return again next year.
This is a great family run campground. The site sizes are average with some sites on the water with a boat dock. There are campsites in the sun or shaded with trees. While the beachfront is not huge, it is always kept up & campers voluntarily help keep it clean. There is an area on the water kind of private, great for new kayakers or you can enjoy the massive Long lake/Sebago lake. Although some updates would be welcomed, you won't be disappointed staying at this campground. Book well in advance as they are usually pretty full.
