Great location in the heart of Ogunquit, but that's it. I have to agree with other reviewers. One wrote: "Typical gay owners screwing the gay community. The owners charge premium rates and the place is dirty and compltely [sic] run down." Yup, pretty accurate. If you've been to Ogunquit before, then you already probably know better than to stay at...

We didn't bother making reservations in town since we were there during the off season, but this inn has a nice street appeal and was VERY centrally located to everything you want to do while in Ogunquit. Owner was a very sweet, kindly man, but so old and forgetful he kept repeating himself and asking the same questions over and...

Where do I begin? How about with the strongest Lysol smell in the world. Everything in the room smelled of this God aweful smell. The bathroom was a joke. Two towels, that appeared to have been stolen from a Holiday Inn 25 years ago. Holding them up, you could almost see through the fabric, oh and less I forget the...

My sister and I loved our stay at the Yellow Monkey. Great room with a private deck, comfortable bed and very clean bathroom!!!. By the end of our stay my sister turned to me and said that this was the best mental vacation one could ask for. The guests and staff were like extended family. As for me the token...

My friends and I recently stayed at the Yellow Monkey for along weekend. there were 8 of us in one of their large cottages. A beautiful working fireplace, views of the ocean and a short walk to town. All the beds were comfortable with nice bedding and towels. Would definitely stay here again but is fully booked for the summer...

My husband John and I have stayed here many many many times. We love it and go about 3 times a year. Apartment 17 is cute and cozy and charmingly seaside tacky. Peter and Victor are always so warm, welcoming and friendly to all-gay or straight. They are trusting and leave you alone unless you need them. Our FAVORITE is...

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Yellow Monkey. It is walking distance to "downtown" Ogunquit. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the bathroom. The toliet hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. Needless to say, the previous guest must of had an upset stomach. The filthy toliet made me a bit cautious about the bedding. Were the sheets...

We walked in off the street with no reservations on this past Saturday. We were shown the "Penthouse Suite" where we had the option of taking 1 side or the other, OR both sides for a minimal charge. We took both in order to maintain a private bath. 2 decks, 2 rooms AND a private bath? What's not to love!...

“There are a few low budget rooms. Those are the ones that you may read a negative review. So many more rooms are excellent and compare in price or lower to other resorts. There are 5 or 6 homes converted into suites. There is a size and price for everyone. Ask about the Captains quarters.”
