Looking for an alternative to the places on the beach that are now becoming much more expensive. I stayed here a few times summer of 2019. The owners are lovely, the policies are a little strange though. Being on the railroad tracks can be a little bit of an issue, but for the price, I can wear earplugs and a mask, and did. Place is newly renovated and reasonably clean. Some rooms are really small and if you are upstairs you can clearly hear whomever is backed up to you. Like I said, good value for a beach place if you are enjoying yourself on the beach most the time and it is centrally located. I would stay again if they change some of their restrictive polices. Being we are in the middle of a Pandemic now, they will have to change these things to compete if they survive after. Good Luck!!!…
Serious, when you post during a pandemic about using "day-labor" (untrained) as your housekeeping service it is not only questionable but also a very unsafe practice that should be reported to the state. Will not be returning.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I called the inn directly and spoke with Lisa, the owner to book our stay. She was very friendly and accommodating. We wanted a place that was close to the pier and the beach. We found it here at the Seagrass Inn. The room was cute and met our expectations. Cottage type style rooms but not very spacious. They have a pool and a grilling area if you want to bring your own food and grill. Very casual atmosphere and the staff are very nice and helpful. Location to the beach was right across the street and the pier was less than a 5 min walk. We definitely recommend and will be returning soon.
Check in went well then everything went down hill from there. Room was clean except for toilet! It has stains on seat - gross! Then I went to take shower had no towels, no soap, and no shampoo! And there was no toilet paper - guess they weren’t ready for guests! Woke up in morning had a coffee pot but quests what - no coffee in room! No guide for tv and no do not disturb sign! Pool area was clean but a workers child was there all day and wanted attention like kids do ( and I usually like kids but came to hotel for quiet weekend) and I just wanted to sit and read by pool!
Definitely book this over Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend if you're a couple. If you're a couple with a child though, you best book someplace less flashy nearby. They charge an 'extra person fee' that costs an arm and a leg for multiple night guests. The base price is based on a 2 person res and is barely worth it. The decor is very cute but it comes at the cost of cute ascetic with no soap, shampoo or other amenities the average travelers might expect from a room at this price. Cable TV is lacking as well, and housekeeping leaves something to be desired also. Save your money pls.
