Looking for an alternative to the places on the beach that are now becoming much more expensive. I stayed here a few times summer of 2019. The owners are lovely, the policies are a little strange though. Being on the railroad tracks can be a little bit of an issue, but for the price, I can wear earplugs and a mask, and did. Place is newly renovated and reasonably clean. Some rooms are really small and if you are upstairs you can clearly hear whomever is backed up to you. Like I said, good value for a beach place if you are enjoying yourself on the beach most the time and it is centrally located. I would stay again if they change some of their restrictive polices. Being we are in the middle of a Pandemic now, they will have to change these things to compete if they survive after. Good Luck!!!

Thank you for staying with us! 2020 was a difficult year made better by returning guests like you. We can't change the architecture of the Inn but we do our best by maintaining quiet hours and courtesy of others. The railroad tracks are part of OOB's history. Count Bassey and his band used to take the train to play on the pier. Thankfully, the trains are less frequent in the summer and they are required to slow down to a crawl. The room rates have remained the same as 2020 while other hotels are trying to make up for their losses. We hope to see you again. The beach is calling!

Serious, when you post during a pandemic about using "day-labor" (untrained) as your housekeeping service it is not only questionable but also a very unsafe practice that should be reported to the state. Will not be returning.

Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate you! Due to the government subsidies we were unable to secure qualified local hires. We decided to contract with a national company that was bonded and drug tested all the employees they sent to our hotel to work. We paid $25 per hour and still employees didn't show up if they got a better deal from someone else. We closed rooms off in the hotel and did our very best to balance Covid-19 requirements and do our very best to be our best for our guests. I am sorry we fell short of your expectations. We hope that 2021 will be offer the vacation experience you desire.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time a couple weeks ago. I called the inn directly and spoke with Lisa, the owner to book our stay. She was very friendly and accommodating. We wanted a place that was close to the pier and the beach. We found it here at the Seagrass Inn. The room was cute and met our expectations. Cottage type style rooms but not very spacious. They have a pool and a grilling area if you want to bring your own food and grill. Very casual atmosphere and the staff are very nice and helpful. Location to the beach was right across the street and the pier was less than a 5 min walk. We definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

Check in went well then everything went down hill from there. Room was clean except for toilet! It has stains on seat - gross! Then I went to take shower had no towels, no soap, and no shampoo! And there was no toilet paper - guess they weren’t ready for guests! Woke up in morning had a coffee pot but quests what - no coffee in room! No guide for tv and no do not disturb sign! Pool area was clean but a workers child was there all day and wanted attention like kids do ( and I usually like kids but came to hotel for quiet weekend) and I just wanted to sit and read by pool!

Thank you for staying with us. Covid requirements in June (the first month we could be open) were such that we couldn't leave towels, soap, toilet paper and coffee or anything else that could be touched by others in the room. Apparently our Governor thought this was "safe". We bagged all these items with instructions and our apologies to be given to the guest when they checked in. As you can imagine, along with forms to be signed and regular check in procedures, we dropped the ball and did not hand you these items. I am sorry this happened. The beach is so beautiful, we hope you'll stay with us again.

Definitely book this over Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend if you're a couple. If you're a couple with a child though, you best book someplace less flashy nearby. They charge an 'extra person fee' that costs an arm and a leg for multiple night guests. The base price is based on a 2 person res and is barely worth it. The decor is very cute but it comes at the cost of cute ascetic with no soap, shampoo or other amenities the average travelers might expect from a room at this price. Cable TV is lacking as well, and housekeeping leaves something to be desired also. Save your money pls.

Thank you for staying with us. We are located in the heart of the entertainment district and with your stay being over a holiday, the town was full. We do our best to accommodate families but we have no control of a busy town. The Governor set rules as to what we could and could not leave in the rooms. Soap etc. had to bagged separately and only obtained at the office. This rule didn't loosen up all season. Safety first. Due to the government subsidies, we were unable to secure local housekeeping help. We contracted with a national employment firm at $25 per hour and still people didn't show if something better came a long. We even closed off rooms so we could support existing reservation duties. We hope 2021 will be a better vacation environment for you and your family.
